Yakuza 3 was a great game but it was heavily butchered. This game will sell itself if they leave everything in. Yakuza 3 had more side missions then I ever saw in a game. The side missions were really impressive and it would take you at least 30 hours to complete just the side missions alone lol. I'm a side mission junkie however I didn't finish them in Yakuza 3.

well the cut scenes look lovely and hardcore story driven games are right up my ally. Yet to play a Yakuza game wonder what the game play mechanics are like though. like comments below me i also hope its in Japanese with English subs! That's how I watch all my world cinema films and anime.

Really people still want SEGA to invest money into this crap. All Shenmue fans wanted was a freaking conclusion to a greatly written story. bs

I sure hope this doesn't end up like the last port. And here a few months ago they were telling us that they wouldn't make a port of the 4rth game. They'd better not mess this one up. All else fails, just get the Japanese port if they ruin this game for the fans in the US and UK.

I'm gonna have to buy the Japanese port and this version, thankfully this one is coming out next year so i'm not in a rush to get everything at once, secured a buy from me.

Anybody notice that all four protagonists appear to have similar body builds?

Excellent. I'll buy this on the first day it hits the states. I hope it's entirely in Japanese with Eng Subs...or, at the very least, has the option to choose that particular setting.

...The basics to any good game, especially one with this much hype, is the quality it has to offer, in design and atmosphere.

The moment i had Y3 demo goin, it felt like...one big cheap slot machine enviroment, with the charactes and content having a plastic feel to it.

Closest game i can think of in terms of a Japanese background and a pre-defined story line was Shenmue...Really old game, but had a lot more to offer than this.

    I think Yakuza is overrated.

pfff I liked yakuza three well actually I tried to force myself to like it... I hated all the stupid side missions they made you do it drove me nuts. Not to mention there wasn't a whole lot of fighting in the game at a lot of points which was sad soo hopefully the new game will improve on the old one... but I doubt it...
