Dan Chiappini gets his heat moves on in this video review for Yakuza 3.
got Yakuza 3 for £6 and Yakuza 4 for £12 just recently. The characters, the story especially if uve seen jap yakuza movies, are awesome. The fighting is fun and boss battles are even more fun. But its the story and the long cutscenes that make this game a very long movie and a game at the same time. Im more than halfway in Yakuza 3 and cant wait to finish i so i can start 4. Havin a lot of fun playin this...just awesome.
I'm ashamed of myself for just finding out about the Yakuza series until last week. This game looks Epic!!!
One of the great series from SEGA. Been following the storyline from Yakuza 1 and always see vast improvement in every release. I hope SEGA decides to continue the Shenmue series as 15 years ago they promised to publish it until no 10 :) Looking forward to Yakuza 4. This game has not disappoint me yet and I know they always improve on the game engine and the story is what keeps me supporting this series
Amazing game, a must buy for ps3 owners as well as japanese fans. Although it is repetitive with the battles but the story helps for that and sucks you in.
I don't know why I didn't play this game. the first Yakuza game is in English and that sucks cause the game is in a Japanese setting. luckily, the second game and Yakuza 3 don't have English voice acting and that's good.
i really enjoyed this game!! for me it's like a Brawler-RPG genre! Heck this might even be more enjoyable than FFXIII
It looks like some of the gameplay in the "Yakuza" series is loosely based on those found in Sega's other 3D brawler, "SpikeOut."
Believe it or not.....this game is really good. I picked it up at Gamestop, because my instincts told me i would like it. Sure enough, i really liked this game. the story is really good, and the combat is a blast. But like I said it has a great story that sucks you in...... Let this be a leason to everyone....Gamespot gave this game a good score, but GameInformer gave this game a 6.5, and if i would of listened to them I would of missed out on this superb game. Trust your own gut, and rent a game first, or you could be missing out
this is a great game, a lot of depth and a lot of detail. Pacing is great and it is more open world feeling in a way because there is stuff for you to do (level up skills collect items) when you are not on a mission. There are plenty missions if you want to do them constantly as well. two thumbs up!
SEGA why did you cut the hostess clubs!? But still without the clubs, this game deserves more than a 8.0! It deserves a 9.0!
Best gangster story-telling game ever, in my opinion. Combat is a heck of fun and super satisfying. Just I miss the hostess club in Yakuza 2, really. Hope Sega won't throw it out again in Yakuza 4. Last word, just get it, 'cuz it's worth a buy.
I tried the downloadable demo and the gameplay feels kinda clunky and frustrating. Is it worth playing?
lol the end is funny im definitely going to get this game when the price got cut im a big fan of yakuza 2 but this game shud have come out a bit earlier
such a horrible game, gameplay sucks, everything about it is just cheesy, not worth a buy or rent in my opinion.....
Finished it, great game! It's funny, matrix reloaded style with about 50-100 enemies waiting to attack, pity they don't all attack at once, now that would be GREAT :) God, I love kickin ass in video games ;) Wonderfully woven story with excellent characters, really, really well told story, I was impressed, touching and emotional. This was sooooooo fun and a worthy buy. I need to do some more ass kickin, where's God Hand..
Why??? Why not X360??? SEGA, you guys just fanboys. Yakuza is one of the best in the GTA-liked genre( I mean sandbox game)!!! @Necrodracul You're right. just give it some love, meh.
at first i didnt want to get this game after the cut content stuff, but i couldnt resist i need this game :)
Peole are attacking the gameplay when really you have to try it first. Seeing a fist fighting game have over 20 hours which is longer than GOW3(10hrs) or heavy rain(10-11hrs) is great and having an open world gameplay system with actually emotional ties with characters is something thats hard to find in most games. GOW3 did it well and FF13 did it supremely well. Don't hate a game when allyou've done is played a crap like demo, rent it and see for yourself.
