Producer discusses crime game's target audience, Yakuza Kenzan's sequel potential, and how Japanese developers approach Western audiences.
Um, um, ummmmm.... um why dont you just shut up? lol This game looks quite good, i hope it will have a great story like the first one.
I wonder why people keep thinking Yakuza series is like GTA. It's completely different from GTA since its a story-driven brawler it feels more like Shenmue than GTA.
um i um played the um demo from psn japan and um it is freakin sick! im also glad they um put black ppl in the game.. i cant wait for this to um come out in the um US
@Everyone who's writing Ryu ga Gotoku is Japanese GTA: Oh, yeah, this is totally a Japanese GTA. I mean, damn, the only thing it's missing are the CARS!
she's really going to far translating exactly everything ~ especially the "ums", oh god (facepalm), please don't repeat exactly what they say like UM... ahhh!
Looks like there are like a trillion minigames in there so might be interesting. Tho the graphics look kind of weird here. The entire world looks like it was made of plastic or something. Hope they fix that untill the relase.
Good, gods. Am I the only one who's getting ticked off at the constant "umm," "umm," "umm" crap? I don't know if the translator is translating what the guy is saying, or if the woman is stumbling herself. Either way, someone needs to work on speech.
Am I the only one thinking that it would of been a good idea to re release/remake Yakuza 1 and 2 for the PS3 aswell? As in all honesty I dont think many people played those games in the west, in Britain I know for a fact hardly anyone knows what yakuza is. My hope is that they get their marketing right, for once sega do some good marketing in the west. Get sony to make a special edition ps3 or even just a bundle or controller or something. And I hope it does well enough to make shenmue 3 look like a good idea.
As excited as I am for this game to finally come out, it would probably be better [business wise] for it to come out in February so it doesn't have to compete w/ Final Fantasy 13, and God of War 3. Sega is concerned w/ units sold, and I am afraid that it would come out un-noticed by the average gamer.
Um, I'm looking forward to playing this game. Um, I think, um, this will be very fun to play......Um.
