I'm VERY surprised at the Gamespot review of XIII. While its not best of the best, this is a damn fine game. The look is fresh and very well done. The story interesting and compelling if a bit overly-complex. The gameplay is fun, solid 1st person shooter fare. A touch of stealth-line Splinter Cell in there for good measure. Most importantly this is a POLISHED game. It's slick, the game feels like a well-produced product. While I wouldn't put it equal to Splinter Cell, Call of Duty, or Knights of the Old Republic, this is BY NO MEANS an "also-ran" game. Anyone looking to kill some time and have fun with a fresh looking game should give XII a try, especially if you can get it for a good price.
