User Rating: 4.6 | XIII PS2
This cel-shaded shooter looks interesting for the first level or two, after which the effect is totally forgetable. Sorry, Ubisoft, but a comic book this is not. The story-line is compelling enough to want to finish the game, but the ending is a bit predictable and leaves the player feeling "I played this game all the way through for that?" The most annoying part of XIII is that the enemies are amazingly good shots from hundreds of yards away. On the default difficulty, this means you die... a lot. Replaying some levels many times over becomes part of the chore. If you want to see how the story ends, just play on the "easy" setting.
