A great ending to a very entertaining series. There where even several twist added to the story right before the ending.

This last installment of the Xenosaga series was really the best of them. The battle system improved on both it's predecessors while still keeping the same type of system. The mecha got way cooler looking too. You actually have 2 combat modes in this game. The first is your human combating which is you against whatever monster it is, and mecha combating which is generally you in your mechas fighting other mechas. Though you do fight Gnosis sometimes too.
The skill learning system takes a little getting use to but once you do, it's pretty easy to work to your advantage and make a party of over-killers (if you spend enough time). I personally like how it all set up to be a combination of the first two skill systems.
The game finishes off all the stories lines while adding background story and the final stages of character development for all the characters carrying through all the way up to the final fight. There are even some twist that really surprise you and the ending is unlike any other game I've ever played. Plus, the characters look really cool in their new costumes.
Really, it's completely worth playing through the entire series again just to have the full story line and this ending. It answers every question and leaves you asking "What's next?"
