First I'd like to explain the fact that I've rate this game a perfect 10. I know that giving Xenogears a perfect 10 is not something I can defend, but Xenogears is not a game I can use normal rules to review. The feeling this game stirs up is something I have the luxury not to ignore. I hope that you also have had a game experience that changed you. Because that is what Xenogears gave me. The graphics may not be the best the PlayStation has to offer, but they did the job really well. As soon as you where immerse in the game the graphics just look on par with what you wanted and needed. I did not have a feeling where I fond my self nagging about the graphics instead of enjoying the game. The FMVs in the game was also really beautiful and of Square quality. The sound in the game was just right for the type of game it was. The game play was like most RPGs, but with the right twists. The fighting system had a really fun new system that used combos in your attacks. And a personal favourite of mine, the mechs. The story of this game is its strong point. It succeeds in bringing it all together from the start to the end. With twists and strong and memorable characters. The story also does something almost unheard of in a videogame. I includes religion, and not in your standard form. The religion is not what you are leaded to believe in the beginning. As you journey through the story of Xenogears you'll have an excellent time. I sure did. Although I live in Europe and not in Japan or North America, I did get to play this game through the magic that is import. While the companies want control over there games. Us the consumers a left out in the cold when it comes to a lot of games. Even if Xenogears was under funded, it turned out to be one of the best games ever released to date.
