Xenoblade Chronicles is a masterpiece. That is the simplest way to put it. From start to finish the love that went into this game is obvious, from the characters to the story, to the environments everything is polished and amazing.

This is likely one of the very best looking games on Wii, it really pushes the consoles capabilities in allot of ways.If this game had been made in high definition on a more powerful console, I think they would have needed years more to develop it and the hardware would have struggled significantly. Using the Wii as the platform let them tell the story they wanted to tell without compromising the game world.

The music is masterful. It is an elegant mix of orchestral and synthesized pieces that are absolutely riveting and powerful. It will immerse you to the story, to the battles and the struggles that Shulk and his friends face along the way. But for me the most important thing about this game is the gameplay and the story.

Xenoblade takes refreshing and modern approach towards both combat and storytelling. It has an m.m.o based system that works great giving you control and keeping the pacing in battle exiting and energetic.

The story is set on top of a gargantuan titan, it's a sprawling game world that will leave you breathless with its diversity and incredible scope. The characters that inhabit it are diverse and complex as well. You will care, you will feel for the games memorable (even if a tad cliche)characters as they struggle to survive on a world tearing itself apart.

If there is any doubt in your mind about this title, you need to have faith.

Xenoblade Chronicles is possibly the best rpg of this console generation so far. Wii or not its a testament to what happens when people like the team at Monolith soft make a game with heart, you will love this game and miss the characters when its over.

I spent 150 hours in this game, not because I wanted to find all of the many wonderful secrets but because I didn't want it to end.
