XCOM: Enemy Unknown - Scientist Rescue

My advice, save often.  you dont wanna make a bad decision and loose some of your best guys and be like lets keep going.

I signed up only cos folks hv helped me with tips on games, so here goes.  I've played orig UFO: En Unk for 15 yrs (not all 24hrs of em), & never tire of it.  I've tried many others :  I cut my gaming teeth on board wargames in the 70s, & for me the orig UFO is the best PC wargame of all. 

The graphics are Neanderthal, but those of chess, poker & other great games aren't scintillating either.

The tactics & strat r outstanding challenges.  The game always comes up with surprises:  u can never let yr guard down. 

Working out how to win takesa lot of exploring different strats, especially if you set hardness to Superhuman. 

Time to play: As long as u like.  It can take > 100 battles.  Each battle takes 10mins to 2 hrs depending on how serious u r to win the whole game.  Barrelling thru is guaranteed to get u wasted. 

If this new "imagination" of it is half as good, get it.  Better still, get the original.  (U can, from Steam, et al.).  But don't get married or get a job, you'll never get round to 'em.

Looks really good. Wonder why none of the trailers showed the gameplay. It made me not pre order but i'll be sure to get it now.
