XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a remake and it would have been nice if they would have managed to make it as good as the original. Less content, Static maps, and less versitile characters makes me go look to see where I can repurchase the Original!
Being a huge fan of the original I would have settled for Stable.. Game crashes and characters relocating themselves to other parts of the map make the game difficult to play.
1 Like Plays so much like the older titles, yet is a distinctly excellent re-imagining of the franchise. Time and again we've seen other such re-introductions of popular "oldies" fall flat on their virtual faces.

2 Like This game is SO much Fun! I played it for 6 hours straight last night and that is something I have not done with any game for years.
Building your base, researching new items for new armor, weapons and items for your base, your ships and yourself. Promoting, outfitting, customizing and recruiting new soldiers. So fun and I just did not want to stop.
Great story, nice graphics (nothing cutting edge but nice), good sound effects and more importantly just plain freaking fun. It is a VERY addicting game.

I only want to stress on the fact you said "Something I have not done with any game for years " " VERY adicting game " Wanna just add " I wish gameloft would port it on IOS , I don't like AVHs graphics on IOS , gameloft are a awesome when it comes to IOS gaming "
Just like he said, your biggest enemy in the game is your patience. As long as you keep your cool, you will do fine.
1 Like AC3 or Xcom? After playing this demo it's a no-brainer, Xcom all the way! Now I just have to decide which console to get it on.
@Bigboi500 I'm a big fan of strat games and, I have played too many FPS over the last couple of years so, it was a no brainer for me too.
2 Like Firaxis did a really nice job here. Although not as good as the original UFO Defense this game clearly appeals to older players and new ones alike without losing too much of what made the original one of the best games ever made. In a gaming generation with almost non-existant innovation this game comes pretty close as an instant modern classic.
really ? i didn't find much innovation in it, only simplification, and much more than what was needed

moreover if you compare this to medieval/magical RPG Tactic game.
Ogre Tactics, Final Fantasy Tactics... Almost the same gameplay the differences are XCOM's Gameplay have a unique strategical and tactical gameplay that will never find to those.
anyway kudos. The best remake of XCOM deserving as a 8.5 - 9.0 ratings

This looks good. Is it a bit like Valkyria Chronicles in terms of gameplay? Also is there an easy mode? I don't like getting stuck in strategy games.
I still have the PS1 versions (Enemy and Terror) of this game and am happy I can let em gather some dust for a while now cause this one is gonna suck up a load of my life again, DAMN YOU ALIEN SCUM.

If you had any net worth whatsoever, you wouldn't be spouting off like a teenager about this. Nobody really cares other than how much of a loser it makes you come off as.
