XCom was one of my favorite games of all time, I am very much looking forward to this. Between this and a new Simcity coming, us old-geezer gamers are so going to be doing a lot of waxing nostalgic.

As someone who bought the original X-com as soon as it came out and since has played through all of the subsequent incarnations, I just have to say: God Bless you Sid Meier/Firaxis. Both the tactical part and base building looks freaking awesome!

I've gotta say, up until now I wasn't even interested in this game.. I'd only seen screenshots and nothing appeared all that special. The Official Playstation magazine made a huge point about the fact screenshots don't do the game any justice - and hell yeah, seeing this video I couldn't agree more. Looks absolutely superb, definitely considering adding it to my want list this year :)

Very good choice, but if you've played too many FPS games you mite not find a turn based strategy game, your cup of tea.

This game will completely overshadow that fps joke that is being released. Looking forward to this but I don't think it will be as good as Enemy Unknown/ufo defence

It very hard to do a classic game justice, the old game had so many good ideas in it.

Looking very good so far. Gonna be a long wait until Fall.

I'm so happy they decided to make the traditional XCOM first and put the FPS on hold. This is looking pretty awesome.

My anticipation of this game just went up a couple of notches. Liking the artistic direction. Also like the fact they seem to have come up with a good balance between turn-based/real-time action, and getting down in the midst of that action. Character permadeath will also add a lot to the tension. The 'ant colony' view of the base seems quite innovative, and seems to work well. I think Firaxis are on the right track, here.

can't wait for this but X360 and PS3 next to PC makes me a bit nervous

I was scared a few months ago thinking that this was going to be turned into a fps This actually looks very cool!! Looks like a mix from the old Xcom / Commados and Syndicate Wars ( the old classic one... not the new one )

There still is a FPS xcom coming out by Marin but it's being put on hold untill at least 2013 and yes and it looks lousy.
