I'm new to the Steam community and what not and I don't have a gaming rig.
What I do have is an Asus X52F series laptop. I'm not super clear on what the specs are since I'm not all that computer savvy and don't know where to look those kinds of things up.
But what I do know is it is an i5-480 with 4GB of RAM.
Will I be able to run it successfully? Or do you need more specifications to give me a definitive answer? Thanks in advance!

I not very tech savvy either, but this site seems pretty handy:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyriIt can check your computer and compare it to a games requirements, then tell you what may need to upgrade. I hope this helps.

For some reason that doesn't work for me. It won't install.
Anyway I tried downloading the demo to see if it would work. It starts out okay with the opening credits, but then shuts down and stops working once I get to the main menu. This could be because my laptop went into powersave mode and paused the download, so to test it out I uninstalled the demo and am currently reinstalling it. I'm making sure to monitor its status to make sure nothing like that happens again.

Hopefully it will work out for you or a PC gamer will have more insight, its a really great game. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, I'm just a console gamer browsing the various XCOM boards for Second Wave info.
