Top Spin 3 bouncing onto PS3 and 360

Latest title in the tennis series will be served to next-gen consoles in 2008.

Wimbledon may be over, but it seems to still be raining in the UK. So it's perhaps good news that Take-Two has announced it will be bringing Top Spin 3 out next Spring, so tennis fans can enjoy a couple of sets without having to venture outside.

The latest Tennis title, developed by 2K's PAM Development studio based in Paris, will feature an "array" of original athletes, although none have been named yet. The previous game, Top Spin 2, boasted the virtual likeness of stars like Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, and Andy Roddick.

Players will also be able to design their own players using a new player creator, which allows "freeform body sculpting," along with the ability to add details like make-up and tattoos. Top Spin 3 will have both an offline and a "comprehensive" online mode, and will include details such as weather changes.

2K's president, Christoph Hartmann, believes that PAM Development has created a game with unrivaled realism. He commented, "Every detail is accurate, from the cloud cover to lighting, from sweat to dirt on clothing, to every drop shot, slice, lob, and backhand."

Its great that a new Tospin is coming out but.... I don't see Djokovic on the rooster, nor Davydanko. How bout also adding some real tennis legends like Agassi or Sampras? I think I've had enough of Roddick

i think they should let TS3 be only on xbox 360 cause for example MGS 4 is only going to be on PS3 why not Xbox360?

Just a crying shame there'll be no Myskina in this game. Top Spin 2 was great, can't wait for this one.

Cool, "methehacker"!! I only have the first top spin on xbox 1, but many people favor the first one than the second one on 360, so i guess i don't really miss anything much
Could you also post your comment (copy and paste) to my blog with the same topic as well ? thanks. and any other opinion from y'all ?

"icebergstorm" I have both top spin 2 and VT3...
you know , both are really great games. The first difference which comes to my mind is that in top spin series you have loads of different buttons for different actions, to name one when u want to make risk shot you might use shoulder buttons. but in vt this number is more limited , that is you will use mainly the same button to perform different actions, such as drop shots...
the second thing is that tournaments have a more real feel to them in top spin. you have to play games and "sets" to win grandslams; but in vt that's not the case. in normal carrier mode u only have to win two to six games to win the match. but in case of in game physics i think VT is more life like than topspin. but thats only my opinion.

Great spin for yet another game-even without the defunct Indie Built.

I have to say, I never really watched or liked Tennis, until I played the first TopSpin back on the XBOX. It's not only a great sports game, but a great game period. I missed Top Spin 2, but am glad to hear of a third.

@danciu, Why play Ace Combat when you can learn how to fly a jet in real life?
