Blitz demo sacks XBL
Midway's fictional football franchise now available for free on Xbox Live Marketplace.
Electronic Arts and Madden NFL may own the licensed football gaming market, but one other franchise has proven there is room for two pro football simulations. Midway's Blitz: The League bucked the notion that a football game needed a pro license and performed well in retail despite not being an NFL-sanctioned game. Now the fictional league, colorful characters, and over-the-top action can be sampled for free on the Xbox 360. A free demo, weighing in at 1.35GB, is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox Live Gold members. The demo will be available for Silver subscribers next week.
