    Those non lethal holes and damages on aircraft and smart Flaks look cool but cockpit is somewhat unsatisfying

    after playing the demo I have to say I am a little unsure about this one, theres potential as an arcade game but as a simulater I aint so sure that a console control pad is really ideal,, suppose it might take getting used to

    The detail looks phenomenal. Gameplay looks quick and exciting too. Never been a fan of air combat sims but this could well be the exception for me

    if i get to fly a bf109 im on. the detail of the planes, the colors are spot on. it looked like it had all the top planes of the era from us britian russia and german planes awsome

    Game looks great. I think people need to understand that it will have arcade like features and shouldn't shoot it down just because of that. That being said I am more a fan of detail but we can't always have it all. I don't really mind as long as it isn't too unrealistic.

    You cant expect them to make a console game work like the PC versions when we only have so many buttons on our controllers... It would be impossible to map everything to the controllers. That being said I wonder if this will be compatible with the sticks?

    Anyway, IL-2 looks great! Never really enjoyed HAWX that much too arcady...They say IL-2 is going to scale for beginners, looking foward to this.

    They all sound different...just go back and forth between :50 and 1:59 for guns...sound totally different...same with engines

    Actually this game features a few different modes. There will be arcade, a few progressively harder modes and the full simulation being the most epic of all. You can find a ton of info in the forums of the developers site.

    I can't wait for this game, nice to see one come out for a console
    and "uchihataru" i know, its kind of weird its not coming out for PC
    damn shame too, i loved the original with the pacific fighters add on
    i'm hoping for the same realism too here, hopefully it won't be dumbed down for the console version
    hey, maybe Red Orchestra will come out for the consoles too!

    i think i understand why it isnt coming out for the pc...at about 1.45,it looks like abit of gameplay ..looks more like an arcade style flight simulator...they most probably dont want to disappoint pc fans of the game by releasing this on the pc...as fans would most probably want the same realism as the original il2...

    Is there a wireless flight stick for 360? (or for that matter a wired one?) I think this game looks great. There is an untapped market for flight sim gamers. I know there is still a huge crowd playing Red Baron 3D on PC and that game is ten years old! But that market isn't likely to come to the console without a joystick/flight yoke setup.

    For those of you not familiar with the IL-2 series, they're the best damn combat flight sims ever.

    And NOW ON CONSOLES! Wish this were coming to PC again (ya know, it's HOME)...

    This is one of the Best Flight-sims to ever come out on pc! even today I still play, having the whole collection & expansions IL2 forgotten Battles was the second of the series.

    Believe me the aircraft handling was a work of art certain aircraft like the Me109G used to stall climbing if you was chased by an American P47 thunderbolt. Birds Of prey will have two modes, one will be arcade, & the other realistic, ie stall, spin etc, which I prefer, I hope you will be able to use your own custom skins/camouflage on your choice of aircraft, as on the pc version you can do all that!

    I hope this is still confirmed for a Feb09 release, "Heroes Over Europe" will be also coming out & that looks good too. If anyone meets me online in the air watch out for the Messerchmitt 109G I'm deadly in one of those :-).

    This game will be great in my Xbox360, i love fly games, i have over g, ace combat 6, blazing angels 1&2. The next 2 games is HAWX and Il2.
