    dude the ultra marines home planet was never a forgeworld. and the orks never attacked it. they were attacking elsewhere in the ultima system.

    ok ill give you guys a few run downs of my anaylsis ove the trailer and what i know of what i have seen and know of

    1. the leaked footage is before relic fully took on the game since relic took over the team group that was working on this game and the footage ect no longer exists they scraped a majority of the work so no i dont think Chaos will be in the initial release maybe as a dlc continuation of the campaign.
    2. in the trailer if youve seen it properly you woill have seen orcs space marines and at the end of it you would have seen a titan firing at (spoiler alert read next paragraph if u dont wanna know) carnifex or tyrant looks more like a carnifex tho, heance in this interview (hint hint) Bug Hunt the main story you will play as a Ultra Marine/s wich also cements the idea that Tyranids will be in game as for the planet it seems to me it could be the story of the battle for mc raege wich is the ultramarine home planet wich was also a forgeworld by memory
    it started with the orks striking mcraege but the nids invaded at the height of the battle wich is were they got thier ideas for the nid inclusion in DOW2 or so i belive anyways it soon became a war with the nids wich nearly destroyed mcraege so thats my thoughts on the campaign.
    3. MP thoughts well i can definitely get the impression 4 player co-op will be there due to the fact 4 marines in the trailer ? mp battle wise might be SM vs ORK or customizable SM's for SM vs SM 8-16 players max

    if you play the table top version you know in like 2nd edition sm were epic so thats i think how theses marines are. i also think the forge world they are fighting on is black reach between sicarries 2nd company(Ultramarines) and orcs so that is what i think about this game

    Maybe its a hack n slash with hordes of boyz but harder fights with nobz and warlords and chaos SM. I think its more based on the novels where one SM can kill hundreds of orks. But I never read them so I dont know. I hope relic does the 40k universe justice. And pray to the emperor that Virgil Games does a good job with their 40k MMO.

    It is unfortunate that it looks like you can plow through Orks considering they are not, you know, the tissue paper that eldar is when you nail em' with a thunder hammer. I mean, Orks will keep on coming at you even when mortally wounded.

    @ Alex_09 : They did it once. It was called Space Hulk. Dark Angels fighting through Space Hulks infested by Tyranids.

    @ lastaup: Necrons? As much as I would love to see them, I doubt it. It's most likely going to be Orks, Chaos and Tyranids. It's what we have seen in all the videos so far after all. Maybe some dastardly Eldar poking their heads in maaaybe.

    Sure space marines are superhuman, but bashing ten orcs in one swing of a powerhammer is too much, I was hoping troops would be as good as they are on the tabletop, then the game would be so much more exciting! Hope there are scouts too, with invisibility and sniper rifles!

    Hmm looks OK... My concern is that it might just turn into a generic hack 'n slash/ shooter rpg with no depth (i.e Too Human). Perhaps a tactical fps would have been better rather than a rpg, maybe following imperial guard instead of space marines, it would give people new to the genre something or rather someone to relate too, being a normal soldier with no super human powers, it would also make an ork a scary foe to face, thats for sure!
    Multi-player, for me, has to have bots! Bots seriously increase the value of a game in my opinion, still play GoW 2 but never online.
    In fact I thought it was going to be GoW meets W40, with cover system and all, which would be great and the way I would take it.

    At the end of the day Relic are very good at what they do and i'm sure they will do it well. But please Relic, give the game some meaning rather than turn it into a crappy button basher!

    Everyone is talking about Alien vs Predator, imagine Space Marines vs. Tyranids.. It would be amazing, although this looks and sounds just as good.

    o my god this looks terrible!!! jkjk i LOVE the 40k games i just played threw dawn of war 2 the aliens off that would be awsome for easy up close kills, and i loved the imperial gaurd but honistly you couldnt kill these guys!!! ahhh i always wanted to be that officer who planted the flag off the origional cut scene for warhammer (without the dieing part)

    Hmm... Hang on I need to go wipe. I think I crapped my pants in excitement =) I wonder if there is any Deff Dreds or Looted Russ Tanks. Some Marine vs armor fights would be sweet. And if there are any Imperial Guard NPCs during like a defend mission or something.

    I'm a huge fan i own every game from the dawn of war series and i own a 360 this is perfect. The one thing i would hope is if they make a armour painter or is u play as the Ultra Marines a space marine chapter from the Adaptus Atarties [not spelled right]. it would make scence if they added that in because if they put in online play u would see diffrent ideas of the players ideas nd i wouyld be cool.\

    the guy on the right chuckled a bit after he said "coming out when its ready" because he probably remembered another particular company that said the same thing about a particular game they said would be done "when its done".
    But since its being developed by Relic, THQ, and games workshop, i know these guys wont be slackers like 3d realms were; they'll get their priorities straight, keep loyal to te warhammer 40k lore, and work their asses off to make a really kick-ass Warhammer 40k console game.

    Im looking forward to at least 2 player co-op, whether via split screen, system link, or x-box live. It'd be a blast having one guy as the ranged specialist, and the other as the melee enthusiast.

    I think people are assuming too much that this is going to be all multiplayer-centric. I doubt you'll be able to control anything other than a Space Marine, even in the multi, sort of like how DoW2's multi sucked but it's singleplayer and co-op were awesome, BUT you could only play as spess merehns.

    So yeah. Don't expect to be runnin' around as a Warboss ya grotz.

    So they ruined Dawn of War with this kind of style and now they're making a whole new game further based on that style. What happened to the Relic that made legendary RTS games? You say you follow the 40k universe but you just butcher the established canon.

    I saw some footage of this game a while back, it had a space marine fighting with a chansword and a bolter against some Chaos cultist, it looked good, should be a good game

    the Hidden Ememy the guy war refering to was................................ CHAOS DAEMONS.... since they got a official army recentlyin 40k... ( i play as the army on the table top) so this would be in fact their game debut, just like the nids with DOW 2...... if there is multiplayer... screw a battlesuit or terminator armor..... i want to be a BLOODTHIRSTER..... or a DAEMON PRINCE

    It's a shame the interview was worthless. Absolutely nothing new compared to the text stories out a day or two earlier. I'm interested in this game because I like the 40K story, but I'm not interested in coming to a "news" site and getting a visual rehash of PR drivel. Let me know when you have some actual new information on the game. Also, please start bleeping Relic reps every time they say "brutal". Relic must be prevented from using that word anymore. The overusage will kill it. DOW2 was supposed to be SO brutal, but it isn't, it's cute, with its tiny scale.

    Well Relic is known for making good multiplayer games and games with a good storyline (like Homeworld, Company of Heros, and most of the Dawn of War series). I'm assuming this game is going to be like Gears of War with the cover system but in the Dawn Of war Universe. If it is, then this game would be awesome!!! It just makes sense to make the gameplay similar to Gears of War... which is a good thing.

    Awesome! He hinted that the trailer subtly referenced another enemy race somewhere. I myself don't quite see it, maybe its somewhere in that carved out drawing thing...

    i have to admit their doing evrything out of the box this time and i think that is what this game needs to be but i would like to see tau in their just for the fun of it all and maybe Tyranids and maybe some dark eldar

    forgeworld, ultramarines. I'd guess they'll have Chaos and Tau in there as well as Orks. possibly Nids because of the Ultramarine backstory too.
