for those who don't believe it, it will come out to PS3 in north america since they called the voice actors back and other stuff, I just don't know when, all I know is that its on PS3 in japan. P.S. the difference is that they added a whole bunch of new stuff to the PS3, like now u can play as flynn and patty and a ton of new stuff i just cant say it all. (NO i'm not a fan boy).

I still play this - Game+ is a hoot. Just two items: The 3 "AI" characters can also be controlled by players. It adds a lot of depth to the strategy with a second player. Secondly, this is an Xbox360 exclusive -- outside of Japan. The PS3 version will be domestic (Japan) only. That would likely be the case anyways, as Namco-Bandai doesn't seem to like releasing reiterations of the games elsewhere. (ex. ToS for PS2)

I'd rather they just released it domestically but without region protection AND subtitle capabilities. That way, you could get it on your system of choice, WITH the original VAs. Not to knock the English VAs, who did a fine job, but there's nothing quite like the original.. (the domestic Vesperia for PS3 is pure Japanese w/o subs)

this game is one of the highest quality games ive played on 360, most jrpg's are mediocre and repetitive but this one was great. hope theres more to come for the 360

I love Kevin's reviews, plus he's SO cute!!

but seriously Vesperia is a great Tales game, if you like Tales games and or JRPGs in general you'll love this game, it's very long, has great Grade Replay Value and it's funny as hell too

  • IAmDazzle

    Posted Jul 29, 2009 10:22 am PT

    @BillyColeman

Yeah... it is coming out to the PS3. Most Xbox 360 "Exclusive" JPRGs hit the PS3 eventually. This one is confirmed for later this year. Don't be so fanboyish, everyone should get the chance to play different games.

PS he is my favorite GS editor for reviews, best since Jeff.

    Brilliant, plain and simple.

Just a little somthing Bandai Namco, next time don't keep Europe waiting a freakin' year to release something without it's original japanese voices and with TYPOS in the back of the box for Spain!.

Let's see what hapens when you release the non region protected PS3 version and everyone will import it, then you'll get the looses you deserve after a crappy distribution.

Note: I got the UK version instead of the spanish one, next time do thing properly!

Yeah... I kind of like Tales of better than FF because there's more action and the stories are great. I loved ToP, I wish someone translate the jap releases.

I've actually been contemplating getting a 360 (because Ima Final Fantasy girl... DUNJUDGEME!) but all I saw were bloody hack'n'slash and shooter type games at the store (am sooo not into gore or horror type games)... but this appeals too me. ^_^

I'm pretty close to the end on this on (I think) and I'm ready to endorse it as one of the finest RPG's I've ever played. The reviewer does a great job describing its beauty and strength so I'm not going to be redundant. I want to expand on it by saying that I really have grown fond of these characters, which is the most important element to any RPG. Their personalities are properly contrasted, the dialogue is, like he mentioned, very funny and charming. He complains about the talking head sequences but I find myself looking forward to those. I seriously think this game deserved a 9 out of 10, there is no reason I can think of that it wouldn't. Every RPG fan should play it.

Man everyone from Australia, you're missing out. I'm also from australia but have an NTSC system so I've had it for around a year now. But man, was it great. It does for me what FFVII did for the PS1. I was hooked, combat is explosive, story is compelling, you guys are in for a great ride once it arrives on shores. Why did it take so long though..?

ill be picking this up, i'm in the mood for a good JRPG for some reason

This generation of consoles has really been lacking in that department, probably because japan doesn't make games anymore

well from your game pic i think your more inclined to ps3 and thus you comment is right there isn't many jrpgs for that console but you cannot go for 5 secs before you find one thats 8.0 rating for 360. lost oddessy. infinity undiscovered, eternal sontata, blue dragon, kingdom of hearts ect
