On 5/5/2009, Fallout 3's third $10 add-on, Broken Steel, was released. In this pack, you join the Brotherhood of Steel to rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave. It also allows you to return to the game after completing the main quest, and raises the level cap to 30.

    In the starting, why did he waste AP by using V.A.T.S with the sniper when he was so close that he could've blown the guy's head off?

    I may need to rent first. The feel of a FPS turns me off. I like RPGs like Final Fantasy. Too bloody also, good thing you can turn that down.

    i personally think the weird 50s pre colonial type music is actually really cool. just makes the game different which is good.

    Matchstick911...Um your an idiot, basically everything u wrote is stupid and has nothing to do with the game the music is from your pip boy u can listen to w/e, the VATS is a choice u don't have to use it at all, and more over it's not a FPS like so many have said, yet again if you weren't as stupid as u clearly are, u would of noticed this is an RPG that happens to have guns in it, not a FPS, also considering everything runs on a % free head shots is also a joke considering he could be 5 feet away and if your not skilled in that weapon u could still miss, so all in all not a single word u said has any merit, and u fail at life peace. 7 more days.

    Does anybody realize that these aren't "free" headshots. There is a percentage on each body part of how easily it can be hit. So basically it depends on your weapon and your skill level on how easy these shots are.

    People seem to be mistaking this game for a FPS just because there are guns in it or something.. But it's still a RPG, they just dont show alot of the RPG part in the gameplay movies. And as for the "free headshots", my guess is that it's a high level skill? But maybe not, we'll see when the game is released..

    This game looks so amazing love all the gore! The VATS system rules why wouldnt you want to play this game the blood and gore makes this game so good.

    I no everyone is saying how cheap it is to stop time and get free headshots but im one of those kids who just likes gore and stupid gameplay. I must say the game is definitly brutal.

    You forget its still a roleplaying game, stop crying already. Check out the other videos before you say something lousy like that.

    Its some of the best games of the genre once you know what youre expecting. Even if you have no idea what the game is about, it still kicks ass in gameplay, story, entertainment and interaction.

    Oh my god. Can you say worst game of the year? Let's see, I believe they should slap a fat ass sticker on the front of the box saying "BAD KIDS UNITE, FREE HEADSHOTS, AUTO-TARGET, EASY TO USE!" This is a no skill fail at KOTOR, Mass Effect, and also a bit of Oblivion. Ooh let's go buy this game guys! You can get free headshots and freeze time whenever so you don't die, and then kill all your enemies without even aiming for yourself! And to top it all off, how could you possibly forget....THE ANNOYING PICCOLO AND FLUTE playing 24/7 throughout the game ENTIRELY. Great concept, massive fail at execution. That is all.

    ok Jayn, I have to say you are entitled to your own opinion but dont you ever compare this RPG to a FPS. this may have guns in it but it is a RPG. But anyways dont make this game look like it's going to be crap. You can just sya somthing like "meh i'm not interested instead of "saying Screw RPG, then again it looks like the producers messed up your precious lil' RPG.. looks more like an FPS. oh well.. sucks as a FPS too!     Far Cry 2 will blow this outa the water! Hell, COD 5's WW2 shooter will probably do better! Forgive me, Im just one of those "mindless run and shoot" people! unlike all the WoW freaks that are going to buy this game! Something about talking to trolls and waving a magical wand just doesnt turn me on!     Great!!! You've just lost a Fallout freak. This is not fallout, it's DOOM or some other freaking FPS. If you've played the 2 previous fallout, you'll know what you've miss. Not going to buy.... Too bad, it's going to appeal to FPS players and not RPG... sayonara....

    Someone said this game was going to be absolutely huge and hilarious, I agree that it's going to be huge, but hilarious? I mean fallout 1 and 2 were hilarious because at it's core it was an adventure game, the quests lines and the people you met were some of the funniest I have ever seen. I saw some of the dialog videos for this game, and one of the quests. No humor, not even a little, just like elder scrolls this game looks like it is taking itself far too serious for it's own good.

    Still on it's own, the game is probably going to be a hell of a lot of fun, but I will still long for a true sequel to two of my favorite games after playing this I think.

    oblivion was pretty boring quest wise but traveling around was ok,

    you people who are complaining about stopping time have to realise that its very limited. normally someone wouldnt use it that many times at once...it was probably to show off the system.

    They made Fallout into a bastardized Oblivion FPS.
    I don't see any of the charm the old games had. This is a completely different game and should be branded as such.

    everyone has to remember that its it center this is an RPG, created by the same team who created oblivion. thats not to say it will be the same experience, because it wont, but there will be similarities. due to this, gunplay wasn't the main focus of bethesda as they created this game. criticizing fallout for bad shooting is like criticizing halo for having undynamic, two dimensional characters....its not a fair observation because it isn't an integral part of the game.

    Seems like a lot of folk haven't read much about how the VATS system is going to work(and work out)as if they had there wouldn't be so many worried about being able to "cheat". But, hey ho...

    I think that if they'd stayed really true to the first two games they would have struggled to make it as good purely because things have moved on since then in gaming.

    Bethesda could still have made a pigs ear of it but thankfully seem to have got the balance right(how could they have made a post apocalyptic game both convincing AND attractive?)-should be one of the games of the year.
