Boston, Rush, The Who headline Rock Band Classic Rock

MTV Games and Harmonix prepping 20-song stand-alone track pack of previously released DLC for Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii on May 19.

With its so-called all-new The Beatles: Rock Band due this September, Harmonix has said it does not plan to bring a proper sequel to its flagship rhythm game Rock Band to market this year. That doesn't mean that the studio won't be lining retailers' shelves with a new Rock Band-branded product, however. Today, MTV Games, EA, and Harmonix announced that Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock will arrive for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Wii on May 19.

The Classic Rock track pack contains 20 retro tunes previously released as weekly downloadable content. Highlights from the $29.99 stand-alone product include Boston's "Peace of Mind," Rush's "Closer to the Heart," Steve Miller Band's "The Joker," and The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes."

According to MTV Games, Classic Rock track pack tunes can be downloaded to users' Xbox 360 or PS3 hard drives so that they can be played through Rock Band's or Rock Band 2's interface. However, unlike similar functionality for transferring nonmetal Rock Band songs to Rock Band 2, the process will be free of charge.

The full lineup of Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock tunes is listed below.

i rather have disc version any how , do you realize how expensive dlc is , put to gether 3 songs each for 440 , , its lame , and they take hdd space, thats another thing , 120 gb goes fast ,, i prefer disc over dlc bc i dont need to install it and its a seperate disc so if the rock band disc got scratch i still can play that one , at least,

I agree that if you have ps3 or Xbox 360 the track packs are a waste of money but people have to realize that track packs are really great to people with the ps2 and wii versions. everytime theres a new track pack that comes out, people always complain that they can just download all these songs and half of them aren't good anyway. you people make me sick.
    PS
Jedilink: Lenny Kravitz IS classic rock. Thats like trying to say Van Halen isn't classic rock.

Um, I dont get it. Who's gonna actually buy this when you can pick & choose the songs you want already via DLC? I suppose if youre a PS2 or Wii owner this might be something to think about, but if youre playing an Xbox or PS3 it just makes more sense to download what you want.

Oh, and my 2 cents....Baba O'Riley is a totally worthless track. Half the song is a keyboard solo...vocals dont kick-in until halfway through, and you spend two-thirds of the song twiddling your thumbs while waiting for any guitar. Dont waste your 160 MS points on this one!

Plain and simple: 3 of these songs interest me. The rest do not.

My statement would make even more sense if Who Are You was one of The Who songs in the game..........must learn to read...MUST learn to read.
