Feeding Frenzy in the Arcade

Xbox Live Arcade goes under the sea with Sprout Games' new title; action game says there are other fish in the sea...to eat!

Though the phrase "a big fish in a small pond" may imply some sort of underachievement, it's the ultimate goal in Sprout Games' new Xbox Live Arcade game, Feeding Frenzy. The PC port is the latest downloadable arcade game for the Xbox 360 and now available for 800 Marketplace points ($10). In feeding Frenzy, gamers control a fish (or marine mammal, such as a killer whale) and gobble up any other, smaller fish. By going on a sashimi-spree, gamers will grow in size and be able to eat larger animals. Feeding Frenzy is rated E for Everyone and was published by Oberon Media, who also published the Xbox Live Arcade games Bejeweled 2 Deluxe and Zuma Deluxe.

once you unlock all achievements you will not want to see another fish as long as you live...but hey it is a cool game for the younger gen of gamers.

    Definatly worth checking out!

meimnobody, enough with your fanboy posts. nobody buys a system for just one game. The 360 has lots of great games ghost recon, oblivion and lots of great games out for it. 360 is next gen. Feeding frenzy is just a benefit to an already great online game system. Feeding frenzy looks great in HD to btw.

Utter rubbish, it's ok for 2mins on the demo, but hardly for the price, i can't imagine there being more to this game that makes it last ability over 2 hours.

    It's one for the kids.

I'm a bit short on MS Points, or else I would have bought it already. Thank God for the Trial version Works suprisely good without a mouse, actually.

A little variety never hurts. The arcade service is pretty sweet. Keep the games coming.

I had this game on my laptop.. its awesome, i recommend trying it. I dunno how the control is like w/o a mouse though. Anywayz, there's a sequel out now, Feeding Frenzy 2 where you can jump out of the water! Try that as well. Ok, have fun!

I've played it on the PC and it is pretty fun, but it's not worth $10.

All these quirky games are a welcome addition, to the powerful regular titles. I'd rather play Zuma, MB Ultra, and the like with a controller in my living room on the big screen, as compared to being a mouse jockey behind a desk.

I don't know about you guys but if I paid 500 bucks on the promise of it being a next gen console and the games people are exicted about are ones that could be played on a five year old pc I would be pretty furious about it especially when those games were meant to be played by non gamers especially little children and elderly people.

Another pc game you can try for an hour before you decide to buy. My how many of the xbox games people are excited about have been on the pc for years.

Maybe you can have the pogo games with the premium service club pogo also made avialable to you as well. Maybe Pizza Frenzy, Lemonade Tycoon, The Gold Miner games, Fish Tycoon will also open to you.

How would you guys like Betty's Beer Bar?

Funny how many Xbox live arcade games can be found in the pc section at walmart or can be downloaded direct to your price for the same price you pay on the xbox 360.

The joke is on you guys and you don't even know it!!!

Interesting, I may have to check this one out. Hopefully it isn't as underwhelming as Crystal Quest

It sounds like an old Intellevision game called Shark, Shark. Same principle, many more pixels. I'll buy it just for the nostalgic value.

"Sounds like Katamari in water almost. "

That's what I thought. Hopefully it will actually be fun though.
