Mad Tracks sidetracked for Live support

LOAD delays Xbox Live Arcade racer/party game to include multiplayer support over Internet.

The developer of Mad Tracks, Paris-based LOAD, today announced that its upcoming Xbox Live Arcade game Mad Tracks has been delayed. However, given the fact that the game never had a release date and the delay is for the purpose of adding Xbox Live support, gamers probably won't mind. LOAD's vice president, Denis Bourdain, said, "We also hope to team up with a partner soon to help publish this title in a proper fashion. Leipzig is a perfect time to present Mad Tracks XBLA to potential investors." LOAD has not announced a new release date for Mad Tracks.

Mad Tracks screams TrackMania in my Ears, the look and the manic tracks in the screenshots look like Micro Machines have met TrackMania......personally...as long as this is kept super simple...i can see this being an Instant Hit....as there's not too many games like Mad Tracks and TrackMania (PC Only) aound which combine zany quirky gameplay with puzzles to equal FUN!!

now that's something you don't see everyday, an Xbox Live game is getting delayed to add Xbox Live support.

I wonder what kind it's getting though. It seemed like they all come standard with stat tracking and multiplayer, maybe that's what they are adding is multiplayer? (since the stat tracking is supposed to be default without the developers having to do much of anything).

That is no problem with me... add modes to make a game better and not charge for it later.
