OK, this is a horrible review. If you watch the gameplay he is blinking red the almost the entire time. That means those pieces of armor are completely broken! Of course you are going to die a lot!
Why is he using ranged weapons on a goblin right next to him? Seriously though. This game (especially now when you can get it for $10 or $20) is very good--once you level up. After you get some good gear you will tear up the levels easy. Co-op is a blast too.

this review is dead on, in fact i probably would have given it a lesser score, everything from the death animation, to even the basic combat, i mean cmon, using the stick just feels so dull compared to button combos

currently playing this game...has potential but it fails...camera annouying...fight controls suck...you get mobbed during the last couple of stages and ofter die...very often

It should have been marketed as the dungeon crawler. Diablo on a console, if you will.

I haven't even gotten to level 50 with my characters. It has very unique depth and is still a blast to play in short bursts.

The mythology in this game is great, and more games should add that but the game play was just awful. Something I just wasn't going to get used to no matter how long I played.

I picked this up for 12:99 euro today. its no so bad. but i suppose thats due to the price.

it's not that bad,and yet,not that good either...the game is actually quite good once you get the hang of it...but the dieing cut-scene ruins most of the fun...

I haven´t completed this game yet. So far it´s a good game i like the combat and loot drops. sure its some problems with the camera and they could have added a auction house .

focusing on the bad is all there is. This game was terrible. The attack system is garbage, and you basically can't do anything about damage taken other than hope to roll, but in the later levels you'll get shot at constantly and just slowly die. I hated this game. deserved a much lower rating.

I haven't even played this game yet, but this review was terrible. The IGN review of this same game was MUCH better and addressed both good AND bad things about this game, while this review seemed focused only on the bad things...

Just finished the game for the first time. I'm kind of happy that most comments here mention how GameSpot was too has on this game, it's not that bad at all. Sure most of the things they said about camera and controls are right, but I think it should've got 6.5, maybe 7.
And the death animation was not that bad, its better than restarting the level and at the same time stimulates you to get better and don't die too often.

You know this is one of the games I actually just pop in every once in awhile, even though when it came out I played too much, 3 lv 50s, but even though I play it, it's missing so much stuff that it needs to have in it. I don't care about having a DLC, I want patches, 4-player, a bank and a Auction house, that would help this game out more then people believe.

The score's a little low I think (maybe a six would have been more appropriate) but the overall review is pretty indicative of most reviewers think about it. Probably would have been a great game had it been on the xbox 5 years ago.

First of all, the only thing wrong about this review is the fact the playing it don´t know how too play the game. If your charcter is L32 YOU SHOULD KNOW ARMOR BREAK AND NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED.
this is a skill based game and one the best action RPG´s on the 360.
DO NOT RELY ON THIS REVIEW, PLAY THE GAME A COUPLE OF HOURS INSTEAD.

I wonder if this review has anything to do with the fact that SK the developers of the game sued the highly popular Epic (producers of the unreal engine, GOW etc) over 'sabotage'? ;-)

Man I played the demo and it seems like a really solid game to me, Gamespot reviews are too darn picky man, I mean he complained about a sound while you jump?!?!?! I mean come ON! I mean he said that everything in the game that REALLY MATTERS (I.E. Combat, the RPG elements and abilities.) are extremely solid, so how can the game only be a 5!

wow they butchered this game, and the faults they point out are faults, but they emphasize the problems way to much over the fun aspects, and the world is definitly not as big as they make it out to. i dont know how much i can trust gamespot reviews anymore

  • BadBilbit

i agree with SolidBlackVoid, gamespot and all other gaming websites for that matter, they make reviews on the professional opinion so if you want the game get it because if you realy want it you will love and you will not give a rats ass about the reviews.

saying "loki's army of machines" is a big spoiler. this isn't revealed until well into the game. wtf.

I thought Too Human was incredible. This reviewer doesn't appear to be aware of what the game was offering. It's a dungeon crawler with action and RPG elements. but it's a dungeon crawler. that's why you are forced to walk around and take in the epic environment designs and NPC dialogues.

the designers have explained that the valkyrie animation length was chosen for multiplayer tension, and instead of making you replay the entire level in single player. it's not a thoughtless choice.

you swoosh and clank while jumping, because your a larger than life god covered in heavy cybernetic armor. wtf.

the reviewer just refuses to appreciate the game he got. shame on him.

Watched a demo, on Bravo: Playr (SKY UK 208 or 197). I think it looks challenging, but not impossible; with a graphics score of 3.5 out of 5. Still wondering whether to purchase it or not.

LMAO !!! I actually 100% agree with Gamespot on this review, Mind I still think theyve strethed a 5.5 out of this game. I only played the demo and even that was enough to put me off completely, Your thinking dont let the demo put you off, In this case it was the camera system that put me off and is obviosly how it is in full game, I was horrifyed and just couldnt get to like or get used to that camera. It was awful. I really feel good now that its not just me this time and gamespot have dont a great honest job in this review. Well done !!! Bring on fallout 3, Cant wait for that game !!!

Almost completed single player, its a good game with good custimisation, i dont agree with 5.5 rating.

Multiplayer is very fast paced and good fun.

once you get used to the controls its a fairly good system. personally i give it 7.5.

I played the demo, and I personally didn't like the analog stick, being used for your melee attacks. It just didn't feel right.

I would have preferred the physical attacks, to be mapped to the face-buttons. At least, 'Silicon Knights' should have given players the option of changing their control configuration, to their personal liking.

This is actually one of the better games I have played on the 360 for a while. It's just a great hack 'n' slash game. I don't know what's up with the bad review.
It's just fun to play which is what gaming is all about.

I totally agree with this review though I probably would have given it a 6 out of 10, which would have been stretching it. There are some great concepts in the game but it still feels like a work in progress. The game's plagued by a horrible Camera/lock-on scheme, clunky controls, awful continue system---the Valkyrie, and poor storytelling skills---never assume your gamer knows too much, especially in an RPG. RPG's are built on good storytelling. And yes I've played through the entire game 3 times hoping it would get better/leveling up the character. If there are 2 more games please consider these things S.K. your fans would like to see it done right like we know you can and you desire to.

Too Human brings back the good old days before I had a 360. When I would play Diablo 2 and grind forever to get loot and just have fun. this is the game I have been waiting to play on the 360.

I hope their will be a sequal.......

the idea of... the producer that short is better doesnt go well with Too Human... this game should be at least 25 hours.... instead of triology... they should had made it two part...

Trilogy better come out cause i want to know what happened.... This game i still will buy defently... while some certain things bothers people like the dieing alot/seeing the cut scene u cant skip all i say to that is...

GET BETTER at it so YOU DIE LESS... >.>

This review... and this game should get at least 8/10 stop bashing it...
