oh thats alright i suppose is it any better than third strike in your opinion

Yes I have been playing the arcade version. Each character only has 1 standard Super move and another Ultra Super move. I am a die hard SF series player, and SFIV is a very different battle system. The initial design is to enable a balance system, whereas a near death player will always has a chance to turn the tie of the battle. And you will have to adapt to the new charge attack, jump timing etc.

Shatteredhaze have you played the game i just looked through the moves list and im shocked Ryu only has one normal speacial i has hopping for a super hurricane kick like in the alpha series the more and more i learn about the game the less physcd i am to play it and if that is the new parry system well that is just absurd

The parry move is different as well - you press MidP+MidK (holding them down execute your charged attack) instead of pushing forward in SFIII. However, it will deplete your health gauge (let's say you parry a fireball) which can then slowly regenerate UNLESS you got hit.

ya and it's a different look, u know i get tired of looking at him shooting hi shinku hodouken, plus it' doesn't hurt as much.

man thats really displeasing oh well i will just have to learn to use gouken i hope the parry sytem stays the same as i mastered thati was able to parry any sort of move apart from ken and chun lis specials. also i hope they have downloabable characters because i wana use hugo alex sean and ibuki aswell as remy cos they were awesome. and was i the only person who saw gill as a ridiculous cheat character he was far too over powered and he could stun people far to easy he was like makoto meets ryu meets akuma meets ken (basically all dem characters rolled into one)

Me too, I think its one of the best move you can get with Ryu apart from both of his super Hadoken.

aww man this sucks, thanks for the site shatteredhaze, i would reather have him have his shin shory but o well, i love using that move in snk vs capcom in k groove, my buddies hated it lol.

Apparently Ryu doesn't have his Shin Shoryuken is in SFIV, he only has his Vacuum Hadoken and Shin Hadoken here. Go here for more www.capcom.co.jp/sf4/download.html - you can check the official installed command list for all the characters.

wth, don't tell me my favorite move(ryu's shin shoryiken) is not in the this game.

The story in SFIV actually happened before SFIII. This is before Ryu learn his Shin Shoryuken and his Back Blade Kick (that's why only Gouken has them now), and Seth's moves actually resemble those of Gill. Which also explained why Cammy, Fei Loong, Sakura, Rose etc. are still around as the stroy progress after SFII. More info can be found in the official Jap site www.capcom.co.jp/sf4 (sorry but its all in Jap) :p

what the hell happened to ryus blade kick from street fighter third strike? i didnt see it in that list he has it in tatsunoko and gouken has the blade kick but why not ryu ? i loved that kick especially in EX version where they would rebound off of the walls. but hell this game looks awesome im getting it on both 360 and ps3 but for the 360 im getting the sticks. reason why im getting both is because my brothers getting it for playstation and i want to play people through live as it is more reliable ! but i am so physced for this game CAN NOT WAIT !!!

When the player accessed the combo list, in a PUBLICLY viewed video - and to find out how to pull off a very well known move even - I only realize how much a player can really suck.
