    I don't mind hard, but I do mind cheap. The final boss is way harder than what's reasonable.

    yeah he's pretty much impossible to beat on any difficulty higher than medium. he's even cheap on the easiest setting

    Plus, he does the unthinkable by doing sonic booms while moving forward.

    Textbook cheating... but it's textbook for a reason - CPUs in SF games have been forward charging since SF2 first hit the Arcades.

    Seth ruined the arcade mode experience for me in the fact that medium is the perfect setting for me throughout arcade mode UNTIL him.

    I have good, quality fights with all the others but Seth just destroys me on anything but easiest (very easy/easy I've had a little luck with).

    Hasn't this game only been for a few days? Granted, I almost beat the hell out of my cat and drank a carton of orange juice because I was so mad at Seth... but I figure there's gotta be a trick to it we'll all get down

    I just had one Hell of a time with him, too. Last night I was having fun on easiest. I'm not very good at the game, but I got to the point where I could clear arcade mode with various characters and not use any continues.

    Then tonight I decided to try Fei Long. I did okay until Seth, and then he beat me a good twenty times. I was just about to give up when I got lucky with an ultra and won. I probably won't play again for a long time after that. I wanted to unlock all the characters before I started playing online, but between this and not being able to clear many of the challenge trials I'm pretty well over it. The unforgiving timings and motions for these moves are way more than I remember the older SF games forcing.

    He pissed me off, too. But after a while he's not so bad. I'm at the point now where I beat him every time.

    First off, some fighters are better suited to face him than others. For example: Dahlsim is the ultimate anti-cpu character because of his ranged strikes. The AI always seems to charge at you when it's several feet away, which makes Dahlsim's double fist stretchy attack very effective.

    Also, against Seth, I often win by being aggressive. Use a lot of sweeps and quick strikes up close. And remember to block when you aren't attacking. People say not to jump at him... Well I rarely have a problem when I do.

    The typical Seth fight for me goes like this: Jump towards him and do an air attack, quick punches/kicks when standing (to interrupt his actions). Sweep him to the ground and block when he makes a move. I've dominated him many times and I can't remember the last time I've lost.

    Oh My God!
    I've never been this mad at any final Boss in my whole gaming life. I use Ken on medium and can get to Seth in 10 min. My First round vs. Seth I can perfect him. Round two I can hurt him but can't land any combos at all. I get close to finishing him and then he does that become a part of me move that seems to do more or less damage to you depending on Seths health, if he has high health the move damages me a little and if he has low health the move leaves me with a tiny bit of life. After the become a part of me Seth uses the you can't hit me flash and then the you can't block this kick. I'm sad to say it; however, I could not bet Seth with Ken. I was able to beat Seth with Ryu because of his ultra and super fireballs. For some reason Seth could not phase through Ryus supers. Looks like I'll be playing on easy for awhile.. Lol

    I'm working on the achievement for beating the game on med with all characters. I have beaten him 12 times os far, my suggestion is to play very agressively, if your character has a rush in and hit attack like the Ken uppercut do that over and over once you chloe and then hit him with your ultra when you get it.

    Yeah, I play Zangief (who stunningly is top tier in this game), and I have no problem with Seth by being aggressive as well. Unlike Gill, turtle-ing doesn't work on him since his spinning piledriver comes out so fast and he warp right next to you in a blink of an eye. Jumping in close isn't good though since he'll nail you with Sagat's dragon punch. You need to play just within sweep range, advancing with your kicks. Works for any character that has good range and power with their kicks so that they can reach and damage Seth without putting yourself in jeopardy. The fight is all about zoning. Weaker and smaller characters will find it more difficult and may need to alter their strategy.

    Yes, but I used KOTOR, Mime, Auto-Revive against Emerald and Ruby. You can be cheaper than either of them.

    In FF6, FF7, and CT you can be a master of cheapness

    My point is there are harder bosses out there, and final bosses are supposed to be hard. There are WAAAAAAY too many games out there that are disgustingly easy to beat and the final bosses are hardly bosses at all (Fable 2, MKvsDC, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, etc.).

    Stop complaining about challenges and overcome them, goddamn it.
