Ubisoft has a message for all Prince of Persia players who thought they'd wiped corruption from the world of its multiplatform holiday action game: You missed a spot. The publisher today announced the first downloadable content for the game, Prince of Persia Epilogue.

Set for release February 26, Prince of Persia Epilogue will offer "over 3 hours" of gameplay, as gamers traverse a new underground palace area with the help of some additional techniques. The "energize" ability lets players temporarily rebuild destroyed objects in the environment to provide a clear path, while the "sprinting clash" ability adds an extra move to the prince's repertoire of combat tricks. The downloadable content will also include unlockable skins for the prince and Elika, allowing players to check out how the characters looked during the prototype phase of the game's development.

Despite the "Epilogue" title, a Ubisoft representative told GameSpot that players need not have finished the original game to access the downloadable content. Once unlocked, the character skins can be used to play through the main game, but the content pack's new power can be used only in the added sections of the game.

Also: I love the new character the Prince is portrayed as. The voice actor of him (who did Uncharted and loads of others) as a voice which sounds so casual, and he really shows emotions and ways of speaking when he does it; most notable when he does sarcasm.

The new Prince does have 1 drawback though... I liked the fact he was a "Prince" but in this, he seems to be a casual "mercenary" trying to find a donkey which we hear nothing about throughout the game.

All I want from the next PoP is a better story (more involving; emotional; surprises; cliffhangers (except at the end) and more to do with the Prince.

Yeahhhhhhhhh! My favourite series is back, as a great, amazing game and now DLC!

I haven't had any decent DLC for ages!

TSNAKE617 Im sorry that this game was so easy and killed your blood-thirst for challenging prince of persia games, but in all honesty this is the only one i could finish because the others frustrated me so. But don't get me wrong I love running up walls and killing while flipping around like a dead monkey and witnessing such acrobatics makes me want to join gymnastics. I even played mirrors edge and loved it so don't get me wrong i like puzzles but the ones in previous POP drove me nuts. But i loved this one mostly because it truly was one prince of persia i could finish.

I hate the idea of making game easy for casual gamers, there are some games that need to be challenging, the lack of challenge killed one of my favorite series...

So, how much will this cost? 3 additional hours of game play wouldn't be worth much.

Good. Hope the DLC is better than the game. Atleast it sounds that way. Hopefully there will be no more Silly Yellow Plates and stupid White Seed Collecting.

Some new Weapons will be appreciated. Damn these dumb Ubisoft mongrels who have run out of imaginations so fast.

meh i got this game, beat it in 10 hours and traded it in a few days later. Its very repetitive, has no character growth and worst of all is the ending. Makes you feel like you wasted your time playing. And this DLC... adds 3 hours worth of new area to un-corrupt! oh boy! thats all you did in the main game! and people said assassins creed was repetitive. I am very disappointed with the new prince.

Is this game really that easy?
How about the puzzles? I think that platforming is hardest of PoP.

"i dont like this new prince. story is not aboat iranian storys and badest thing in this game is that prince dont die in the game!!!"

Ok, I'll ask Ubisoft to kill him off right at the start of the next game. I'm sure you'll love that!

I agree with luke1889, it clearly says that we're getting three more hours worth of gameplay, and new moves, and you expect the game to be free?! Did you just wake up or something? We can't even get extra costumes for free on most games!

I'm glad the new content's coming, and I don't feels it's a situation of "oh lets just get this done and release the rest later", and the proof lies in Ubisoft Montreal's focus on making a more storybook, artistically-influenced title. It doesn't make for good plot when you have a climax in PoP and then have to play through three more hours worth of gameplay as an epilogue. Similar to Quest for Booty for RaCF, it's a way to extend the story and tell what happens next.
