Prince of Persia gets coronation date

Ubisoft's acrobatic adventure franchise lands in US stores December 2, at European retailers December 4.

The Prince of Persia movie may have been pushed to 2010, but his highness' loyal subjects won't have to wait quite so long for another glimpse of the acrobatic monarch-in-waiting.

Ubisoft today announced a worldwide early-December shipping date for the game on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The publisher will ship Prince of Persia to North American retailers on December 2, followed by Europe, the Middle East, and Africa on December 4. In the UK, gamers will have to wait slightly longer, with the game going out December 5.

The game marks a new beginning for the franchise, which hasn't had a major installment released since 2005's Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones wrapped up the Sands of Time trilogy. The series revamp features a new Prince with a new art style, as well as new gameplay mechanics. Players will work their way through the game with the aid of Elika, an acrobatic match for the Prince who helps him fight a corrupting force sweeping the land.

What do you guys have against the graphics? They don't have ANYTHING cartoony in them. This is drawn art. This looks gorgeous.

I loved every single game in the SoT Trilogy, especially Warrior Within.

And what do you guys have against Assassin's Creed?

Its not yet released!! Don't worry when it gets released it will silence all the critics!! Even a 9 USER RATING(not Gamespot's Stupid Rating) is enough to silence all its haters!!

whats with the cartoony look. all of the previous (from sands on) looked great. I spent money on my PS3 and 360 to have realism, not cartoony.I spent money on my wii to experience non realism. I haven't turned my wii on in almost 6 months...POP is not for me anymore.

why do movie companies continue to make films based on games when they are pretty bad most of the time? It's beyond me really.
