    The first Perfect Dark was legendary. Although, I think both games were incredibly fantastic. I love the legacy Perfect left behind for other shooters to follow.

    The graphics were decent for the time it came out, but the actual gameplay and overall feel just doesn't compare to the N64 title. This one comes across as cheesy and over the top in my opinion.

    Good review. excellent game. For all that it could have been..the game still turns out to be quite an enjoyable title. Now of course, I love the 64 Dark as well.

    I love how they remade the original theme music from the n64 version...
    Anyway I played the Demo and I have to say this game is pretty outdated by todays standards, I didnt like this game but I remember having a blast with the original, I agree the score is pretty high, maybe a 7.5 would be better fit

    I dont care if the game is old im getting it and im going to play it ive played perfect dark before and the game was fun so this game is going to be fun too

    due too rare selling or loosing it's bond licence to EA they made a hole new story whit a hole new heroine. This is the second sequel to goldeneye that was so revolutionary, but this game was not.. it's a better looking game than the original game for N64 but it lack's in soul and game play. This is more like a straight shooter when it's predecessors had soul and intelligent game mechanics.

    Guns, and more guns...Now with multiple functions like scopes, silencers, and flashlights!!! Oh my god this game was so revolutionary when it came out. FALSE. The only good part about this game were the gun models/animations like Greg makes it very very clear in the review. Level environments were bad, the shooting in the game was nothing special for an FPS, the story was generic, and AI was god awful. Why this game received such a good score bewilders me. And don't even get me started on the music, cheese-f*ckin-factory, wow! Awful any other game would have got a 6-7 score but since it was a high-class overly hyped IP it got bumped up a few points. Ridiculous!

    It may have been pretty cool in 2005 but 4 years later with the likes of CoD4 & Cod:world at war this just seems pretty dated.
    The original perfect dark was awesome but for some reason I just didn't like this game.

    this was just plain aweful, they made her look like a hooker and the weapon selection was boring. the AI was terrible (stood around in single player, wouldn't stop rolling in multiplayer) and if i wanted to play a counter strike mode i would play counter strike. no game has made me return it an hour after playing it, paid £20 for it and got 5£ on selling it.

    they should of given the IP to Free radical as their the ones that put Rare on the map, golden eye and pefect dark are their games in my opinion.

    I played the demo and it was horrible. I know it's only the demo, but using the scope was awkward and in some places it was too dark to see any of the enemies.

    very sporadic controls and aiming, controls are just generally appauling.
    just an awful game, controls are that bad, even after a personal tweak still lack precision and smoothness, just awful. it takes a lot of practice jsut to bodyshot someone nevermind headshot them, the graphics are good, but thagt still doesnt make this awful game good.

    Cheesy looking bad guys and terrible play control make this an aweful first person shooter. It is so ridiculously hard to aim and hit a target with a terribly small reticle and aweful gameplay. Good graphics and nothing more. Not worth the $59 price of admission when it came out, but probably worth the used $10 budget bin price. RARE could have done MUCH better on this title.

    It's pretty good, but it's more of a 8.0 or 8.5, not 9.0.

    So GameSpot overated the game a bit.

    This game is a blast Co-Op. I am dusting it off after a couple of years as one of my friends finally found a copy. Even after a couple of years and MANY games later it still looks good and plays great.

    I bought the collectors edition a couple of days ago for a measly £8 just so i've got something to play on x-mas day, and I'm really looking forward to it, it reminds me a little of goldeneye

    This game is excellent. I read alot of negative things about this game before I got it and was pleasently surprised to find out how great it was.

    Yes, it could have been better, but it's definitely worth the 9.0 that gamespot gave it.
    The multiplayer and the single player are both fantastic.
    This is probably my favourite game on the 360. The single player is much better than call of duty or Halo 3 in my opinion.

    people you do realize this is a 3 year old game that was a launch title. Quit picking its flaws and saying a bad game got sucha good score. It doesnt deserve a 9, but an 8.5. Its a launch title Ill say again.

    This games age makes it a must have, since its now cheap. There really isn't any reason not to have it, unless you don't like good singleplayers.
