AU Shippin' Out May 18-22: UFC 2009 Undisputed

Ground and pound your opponent in Ultimate Fighting Championship's next-gen debut.

May's gaming drought is pretty much over now, with several big-name titles hitting Aussie store shelves this week. Leading the pack is UFC 2009 Undisputed, which is kicking and punching its way to retail this Thursday. Developer Yukes (which is best known for its work on the WWE vs Raw wrestling series) holds the official licence to the UFC and has packed more than 80 fighters from across the five weight divisions into the game, ranging from light to heavyweight. Alternatively, if you're not content with any of the 80 fighters, you can opt to make your own fighter in career mode and guide him on a path of broken skulls, bruised egos, flying mouth guards, and glory.

Jumping on the self-help bandwagon that Wii Fit raised last year, EA Sports Active comes bundled with a thigh pouch to hold the Wii Remote, a resistance band, and a nutrition book, as well as the game, to help you get through its various workout routines. Finally, we have Bionic Commando, which is due to hit on the 21st. It's set 10 years after the original NES game, and you play as a government agent called Nathan Spencer, who must clear his name after avoiding being executed. On top of the single-player campaign, there's an online multiplayer component that supports up to 10 players via Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.
