my zombie outbreak plan... feel free to ...

    This is all assuming i have at least 2 - 3 days before the outbreak hits where im living. and that they are the Dawn of the Dead 2004 zombies

    First thing i would do is loot all the stores around me for food/weapons.. yes i know other people would to but ill take care of that. then i would begin boarding up all the big windows and doors in my house. then i would chainsaw my stairs for a couple hours until there is nothing left but rubble that is impossible to climb.

    i would then go upstairs put 2 mattresses over the stairs then like cabinets and stuff wahetever i can find to keep them out.

    assuming i have a flat roof i would park any truck with a big sunroof next to the roof and board up the windows on it and just leave the keys in the ignition and put something to keep the rain out but something i could bust through or move incase of emergency evacuation

    which incase i do have to leave i would go straight to the closest sams club or to the mall and kill like 53,094 zombies

    Sam's Club and Wal Mart are zombie buffets...I would avoid those places and try to find someplace that is fortified with about 3-5 people...if I have guns and know how to use one I am sure they wouldn't mind an extra hand.

    There is really no plan I can think of that would allow me to survive in the end. Seriously, none of us would have the luxury of an extraction helicopter at the end of our adventures so in the end we would run out of food, water, or ammo before the zombies ran out of people to eat.....

    Yeah your plan would allow you to survive longer than most but I would keep that "one special bullet" for the inevitable end.....stupid zombies WHY DON'T YOU HAVE WEAKNESSES WE CAN EXPLOIT!!!!

    hahahahaha yah lol, of course knowing our luck we would bite the bullet right before some zombie-cure was made or some insta-kill formula .......... hahahahahahahaha the mist still cracks me up, it was the same in 30 days of night when the dad killed his whole family then he gets rescued by the survivors hahahahahaha priceless.......

    I'd need a specialized team:

    An ex-con who wants to avoid his past but in time opens up to the other survivors. He can pick locks and hotwire cars. He'll most likely die trying to hold back a zombie hoard in a narrow corridor while the rest of us try to escape.

    A bad ass police officer who doesn't play by the rule. He'll end up saving us when we get cornered by zombies and complain frequently about "babysitting" us. As time passes he'll become more fond of the other survivors but will keep his rough n gruff demeanor. At some point he'll shoot an oil tank or throw a match/lighter/cigaratte onto some kerosene setting dozens of infected on fire.

    An average joe/joette who will receive little to no character development before his/her inevitable demise.

    A smart aleck who likes to crack jokes in the midst of danger and sometimes looks out for himself more than others. He'll be eaten by zombies and eventually be killed dramatically by either me or a female survivor.

    An average woman who thrown into the chaos will do her best to cope with the horror. There is a 50% chance she will turn into a total *****. And a 75% chance she will fall in love with me or the leader

    A young couple who wants to make it out together. One will become infected and eat the other.

    A kid lacking any usefulness that will somehow outlast most of the group.

    A gunstore owner who will be killed just as we are leaving his shop.

    The kids mother. She may or may not live.

    The leader. May or may not be me. Will inexplicably take charge of the group and no one with the possible exception of the police officer will protest.

    day of actual outbreak i wont step outside the apartment, the minute law and order is destroyed youll have people running around trying to get out of the city breaking into houses killing setting off bombs and molotovs so well have to try and defend ourselves as best we can. after all your home is your safest place to be since you would know the best way to fortify it and know the best way to get out.

    so hopefully me, my family, and friends have survived the first few days of the actual outbreak assuming were still in the apartment well start to take back the complex slowly (the apartment complex we live in isnt that big about 50 units in all) gathering up survivors and clearing out the zombies in the apartments once we've maintained order and stability well start to organize sending out small scouting parties to gather supplies. (assuming all goes as planed we might be able to hold out in our fort for maybe a few months 4 at most)

    once its become clear that we cant maintain life in our fort well organize (i know large groups should be avoided but by then im hoping most of them will be smart enough not to do anything stupid) and make our way either north to alaska but since i live in houston tx well move south to the water and take a few boats and sail the coast until we get to alaska or encounter other survivors that have a safe place that we can hide

    Awesome plans! Truth be told, I'd probably be one of the first ones to die...by pulling a pin on a grenade and rushing into a group of Zombies to save my friends.

    Also, I recommend that everyone in this topic reads this manga, "Highschool Of The Dead".

    Asumming it is the day befor the out break, i would get all my friends who own weapons and my family and baricade ourselfs inside. Next, i would fill every tub in my house full of water because its only a matter of time until nothing works and while im doing that, every body staying with me will be out looking for supplies, food, gas(molotoves, car), weapons, etc. Once we have enough supplies to last us awhile, we will securly lock down my house except for the garage door in which case i will need to open in case of the infected getting into the house and i need to leave. The day of the out break, i will then fortify my mazda tribute so the i can plow right through the infected and drive to the nearist forification of non-infected. If that fails i will use the remaining gas i have and set fire to a huge field in hopes of at least burning a few of the infected and walk south to the nearist forest. Humidity+zombies=decompisition.

    If your smart you will try to find a big mass of water and get a boat with plenty of supplies. the only bad thing about an outbreak is, people that wasn't prepared for it will take your things to survive. So now you have the living and the zombies to worry about. look for high ground maybe where it gets cold with altitude. know that weapons are great but weapons will be the top most wanted thing from the other survivors, so you better have lots of friends to help you keep your weapons. Friends, now thats another problem in itself. you will have friends that remember the items you have where you live. like if you own a boat and its at the harbor or you were in the military and you had all those guns you showed them off. things like that will make the friendship go right out the window if they need them things to survive.

    the good thing is your going to have a high percentage of people that will not take this serious at first and see an opportunity to get money for free and these same people are the ones your going to have to worry about when they realise that they might die.

    bottom line is it will come down to whos life is more important to them. and in that situation it will always be your life. so who will you trust during this outbreak?.
