The Bottom Line:
"Solid"
47 is back, as deadly as before with new missions, weapons and graphics. In this review will see everything new and exciting. Enjoy.

Blood Money's in-game gameplay hasn't really changed, why fix something that is not broken right? It's the same sneak in, assassinate the target and go to the exit game. The classic trial and error game.

You can however do more things with our favourite hitman. I like it that 47 got some new moves, he can climb up pipes, take people as a human shield and conceal his weapon in public. This gives a wider veriety of new ways to complete a mission. Some targets even got special ways to kill them and when thats succesful it does not come up as an kill but rather as an accident. This obviously benefits your rating at the end of the mission.

This time your rating has 2 important parts to play. For instance the better the rating the more money you get. This money can be used to buy upgrades for your weapons and items. I actually started without a silencer for my hardballer. A silenced gun is a must buy in hitman. So I had to buy it with the money I earned as soon as I could.

However when you have a bad rating you get a higher notoriety. This means that the world and people can be more suspicious of you and sometimes just run and scream as soon as they see you. This new notoriety system can be manipulated by buying of the chief of police and witnesses. However this can be expensive if you do this to many times. So I suggest you to complete a mission only when you know you are not having a bad rating. What is worse doing that mission again (I sure love it), or give away some hard earned cash?

For me its the same gameplay with some new mechanics and new missions. And for a long time Hitman player I don't mind it one bit that there arn't big changes.

Graphically Blood Money looks great. There are of course better graphics on the market but its not bad either. The missions look real to me and the new animations that you can do like using somebody as a human shield look smooth and fast. In one word... great.

The music is good too it has its moments when it shines but its not groundbreaking either for me. All the sounds sound real, the gunfire and such all have a feel of realism to it. The voice acting however isn't excellent but very decent to hear (no complaints).

The story is a interesting one, it got me guessing till the end what would happen and at times even suprised me immensely. However I found it a bit short. For me there could have been a few more mission's, 2-4 missions should have been added to make it a bit more longer. Blood Money has a lot of re-playability but those 2-4 mission's could have been the key to get this game to 9.0 instead of 8.5.

Hitman: Blood Money is a solid game, if you liked the previous games its a definite buy. If your new to the series I would suggest playing the demo or renting it first. Its a good game, doesn't have any real problems perhaps a few bugs here and there. But I found it a bit to short for my liking.

Gameplay: 9.0/10
Graphics: 8,5/10
Sound: 8.5/10
Story: 8.0/10
