On 3/31/2009, Microsoft released a second pricey ($10) add-on for Gears of War 2: the Snowblind Map Pack. It includes three brand-new maps: Grind Yard, Under Hill, and Courtyard. The fourth map is Fuel Depot, a reworked map from the original Gears of War.

    Lol, of course it's not as good...in fact...this is no match for Uncharted 2....because this is wayyyyy better!....Uncharted 2 is too *friendly* if you know what I mean, but Gears makes you feel like a man!

    this is exactly one of the best ever ever game!!!!! The story, gameplay, graphic, music... OMG!!! Greatttttttttttt!!!

    xtremeflem2day, that video wasnt the games graphics, those were e3 2005 videos of killzone 2 and kz2 looks much better than in those 4 year old trailers....let me put it to you this way...Killzone 2 has better texturing, better lighting,a better developed atmosphere, better level design, and better character and weapon models than crysis, but icrysis has better shaders

    Just to let you know: you're both right.

    The visual Design and the art of Killzone2 is precious, it brings to reality the planet Helgan I've seen in the first Killzone presentation.

    In this side, Crysis comes short compared to Killzone2. But the technology, the technical aspect of the graphics, and most technologies seen in the CryEngine2 are fairly superior than anything you could see in a PS3. Unless we dubb down the shaders

    well i dont know if any of you guys knew but most of the texturing in gears of war is horrible, i mean that whenever i look at the textures with the ghost camera, more than 60 percent of the textures look ugly(not up close in the texture), the locust character models look bad close up, and the gears of war backgrounds look horrible(zoom in with a sniper in the background, check if you dont believe me

    Disappointed they didn't discuss the online multiplayer, that was really a big flaw in this anticipated game, and I really doubt Epic will fix it in the 3rd one. Besides, majority of people play single player campaign instead of online multiplayer right? I can understand why Gamespot doesn't rate the online play because that can all be fixed through patches and system updates, but Epic just doesn't care about its online community, its multiplayer failed in the first one, why not fail in the next one?

    In my opinion the first Gears of War had a far superior single player campaign with a better soundtrack, however Gears 2 has a far improved multiplayer as well as better ai and balances. So overall Gears 1 is better for the story but Gears 2 is better for long lasting replay value.

    guys let me say somethin i have ps3 and 360 they are both good but heres the thing while the ps3 has amzing graphics beats 360 360 is way funner while ps3 has easy controls xbox 360 tied so either way i reccomend both but if u are heavy on action go with 360 heavy on shooter and graphics ps3 dont thumbs down me cuz im speakin the truth

    Should I get Gears 1 or 2? Taking price and gameplay/multiplayer into account, graphics mean little to me as well.

    This game is great. The story is a lot awesome, voice acting is pretty good. Too bad a billion of people died in the game.
