How do I beat the mud zombies?

They're called "Mudmen", and you can take them down in a variety of ways.
You can use Counter Stance (B+Y) which will kill them instantly but uses up Vitality. In the case of Anna it takes more than one grenade throw, but it does work.
You can slice them with any attack while in a Rampage. Again, they die instantly.
You can also use the "Hand Thrust" (X, X, X, forward+X) to tear the Bloody Lump out of their chests, which instantly kills them as well.

You need to perform the Heart grab move.

You also kill them if you're in beserk mode and have trouble timing the heart grab like me! :D

The simpliest way to do this is to press Y+B to perform a special attack.
