On the higher difficulties, how is it harder?

Just to add to what I said above, don't even think about attempting the Violent or Beserk difficulties until your at least Level 80 or higher.

The enemies take more damage to kill and deal more damage to you. ive not noticed the zombie count increasing though

On Hard, The damage the zombies does is increased , and they get more health,
On Violent they have same as on hard. except it has all been increased, They are sett to be able to kill you with only a few hits.
Beserker Mode, It's the same as Violent, Except Zombies ONLY drops Red Orb, if u get a red orb, you get instant Rampage, and you cannot go out of it.
Personally, i think i see a increase in zombies, but only from normal to Hard, Violent and Beserker has the same amount of Zombies as hard.
And you can Complete Hard fine on lvl 40+... I completed hard easily with
Aya ---- (start Lvl) 43 - 64 (End Lvl) ---- Saki 40 - 60 ---- Annna 13 - 16 xDDD
Completed Violent a few days ago - End lvl after completing Violent - Aya - 72 Saki - 69 - Annna - 24
