EA takes PS3, Xbox 360 to new Battlefield

Those who are "Ready for Love" or "Feel Like Makin' Love" can get "Movin' On" to the next story. Such people would be in "Bad Company," as this one's strictly for those who "Can't Get Enough" of Electronic Arts' wartime Battlefield series.

And for those who don't appreciate agonizingly ham-fisted references to the oeuvre of classic rock band Bad Company, just know that EA today announced the upcoming release of Battlefield: Bad Company on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Series developer Digital Illusions is once again at the helm for Bad Company, and is building the title from the ground up specifically for the next-gen consoles.

While previous Battlefield games have focused heavily on multiplayer action, it seems Bad Company will turn its attention to solo gamers. EA is promising a "deep, cinematic single-player experience" with a mix of action and dark humor. Players will assume control of a squad of renegade soldiers and infiltrate enemy territory to obtain riches as well as revenge. The carnage that ensues will take its toll on the environments as well, as 90 percent of the levels will be destructible.

Fans of online fragfests needn't worry. EA has said that the game will still sport "a full suite" of multiplayer modes familiar to fans of the series. Battlefield: Bad Company is slated for a 2007 release.

    How can EA forget the successful of Battlefield Sires on the PC did Microsoft and Sony buy you as well as other companies that is shame.

    i certainly appreciate the sound of the filled out single player campaign. since I havn't highspeed internet I always miss out on that part of games, untill i go to my freind's... play some COD 4! ..... but this one's for me. And exclusive bone grade design for the new systems!!! lemme at it

    battlefield games are meant for the pc. thats where it all started, and it would be really dumb if they didn't include a pc version

    The Trailer was Funny & good game seems to be but i hope they should have released in pc too.

    This should be fun to play, with there different characters. But i like mosty where you can just blow up a building with men in, now that is next GEN gaming and many more games.

    Haha, laughing through the whole thing. Nice graphics, and luckily I will have a 360 by the time this comes out!!!! I have all battlefields except 2142!

    I still would have preferred battlefield 2142 to be on the xbox 360, but it would be cool if it was a ps3 and 360 exclusive so they even things up.

    It seems they're taking a line or two from Army of Two. The whole thing about the humor between the two co-op men, how they bicker and argue etc. Hopefully it won't be a total clone in a different setting.
