    First 4-5 hoours of the game = cool story and fun gameplay .

    Rest of the game = repetetive gameplay, and only reason i was still playing was because of the cool assassinations you could pull off.

    I do think that AC2 will solve the problems the first one had. I have already preordered it. 9.0 is way too high a score for AC1, it "only" deserved a 8.0.

    I agree with everything Kevin said ... but he should have added about the meh facial animations and voice-acting. The animus highlighting the guards isn't a pretty effect, and the gameplay DOES get repetetive. That being said, its still a cool game. I would give it an 8.5.

    i thought this game was SOOOO boring after about 2 assassinations. Its just too plain repetitive and the combat became even boringer after about 30 mins when you master countering.

    I don't necessarily agree with the 9.0 score, as that is a very high score in general, but the parkour gameplay element really grabbed me, pretty cool game.

    I don't see why everyone said the ending was confusing. I thought it was brilliant, but I saw the final fight coming a few missions before it happened. The missions do get slightly repetetive, but are well done. Despite what some people say, combat is more than button mashing. Mastering combos and counter-attacks is difficult, but rewarding.

    This game is pretty lame. The graphics are nice, but they won't drop your jaw. It's full of jerky animations and the voice actors phoned in the effort. The controls are unbelievably counter-intuitive. The tutorial teaches you nothing. It gives some confusing explanation of how to perform an action and then waits for you to figure it out. After several hours of playing the game I think that I understand how to perform most actions, but I still clumsy performing the simplest of actions. Aside from that, the action is boring and repetitive. The stealth sequences involve you "sneaking" around by walking slowly. As long as you're walking, you're invisible. But if you run, every enemy instantly knows where you are and attacks you. Action sequences are equally bad. You hold the block button until someone attacks you, and then counter by mashing the attack button until they're dead. The only variation is when you are surrounded. In those situations, you'll have to hold the second mouse button, press shift, and one of the directional keys while directly in front of an enemy to toss them out of the way. The fact that doing so involves using the directional buttons means that if you get the button sequence wrong, you have to stand there like a gomer while you wait for Altair to stop moving. And trying to get him facing the right way again is a real pain. This game has potential, but it needs to cook for another year. It's just not done yet.

    The symbols do indeed link to 2012, the end of the Mayan calender, and some believe the end of the world. The symbols mention "The Earthquake". The Mayan calender ends on12/21/2012. or 12/23/2012, however scientists have determined that the Mayans did not lend apocalyptic signifigance to the year, and that their date for the end of the world lay unimaginable aeons in the future.

    Best game I have ever played!

    Ok, first off when i started playing assassin's creed i thaught to myself that this game would become insanely difficult once i had mastered the basics...not so. This game gives you the abilities when you have mastered the basics...like a step by step tutorial with flare. Trust me this game isnt like one boring tutorial, it gives you the abilities for the situations when they arise in game and seamlesly incorporates them into it. The story is absolutely epic, nothing short of an Anime writer with so much attention to detail of the historic events/Locations depicted in this virtual world. It is to be honest hard to put into so may words what this game is but if I had to put any lable on it, i would say: "It makes you feel Like an assassin". Sneaking around, scaling buildings, moving around un-noticed until the last moment where you sink your blade deep into your unsuspecing enemy and walking away with a big grin on your face without raising so much as an eyebrow...that sums up the feeling...although u prolly think im crazy right now hehe . This title will draw you in with its storyline, charm and overall Georgeous graphics giving every gamer what they have been craving regardless of what platform they are used to.

    Buy it people, you won't be dissapointed

    heres what i heard about the ending: all the symbols in red were written using the blood of past animus subjects, i forget what the symbols mean, but they tie in with 2012 i think.

    This game might have some repetitive assignments, but the completely (COMPLETELY) open sandbox gameplay and the great storyline and amazing voice acting makes up for them.
