Capcom to Publish Defender of the Crown

Cinemaware has found a publisher for the PS2 version of its Robin Hood game.

Capcom has announced plans to publish the sequel to Cinemaware’s follow-up to the 1980s classic Defender of the Crown.

The game features tales from the legend of Robin Hood and includes several characters, such as Little John, Friar Tuck, Maid Marian, and more. Like the original, this game will have several different events, including jousting, castle sieges, archery, and swordfighting.

While Cinemaware originally announced Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown for the PS2, Xbox, and PC, the release from Capcom mentions only the PlayStation 2 version of the game. What this means for the other versions of the game is unclear at this time, but we’ll have more on the topic as soon as it’s available.
