Bible Game crosses into retail
Crave's family-friendly game descends onto Xbox and PS2; game quizzes contestants on teaching of the Bible.
In addition to riding the grand old escalator up to The Pearly Gates, there's now one more reason to pay attention in Sunday school. Pure ownage in The Bible Game. Crave Entertainment today announced that The Bible Game has shipped to stores for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
Regardless of one's creed, any thought of inappropriate material in the Dove Foundation "Family Approved" game will vanish once the controller is picked up. Instead of portraying some sort of battle involving God and/or his disciples in an epic battle of belief, The Bible Game opts for a squeaky-clean quiz-show format that poses players questions about the teachings of the Bible.
The game supports up to four players, which is perfect for family night or sleepovers, and it asks brainteasers about The New Testament. Beat the buzzer with knowledge of Jonah and the whale, David and Goliath, Noah's ark, and more, and witness ascension in to first place.
In addition to commentary from a "comical" announcer, players can bop along to some of the hottest names in Christian music, including TobyMac, Newsboys, and Kutless.
The Bible Game is rated E for Everyone and retails for $19.99. A Game Boy Advance version of The Bible Game will be released later this month.
