Tom Clancy's Vegas vacation detailed

Newest Rainbow Six will put fear, loathing in hearts of terrorists with new team members, high-tech equipment, multiplayer options.

Gamers will be headed to Las Vegas later this year for some high-stakes gambling. At risk? The lives of the entire country! Thankfully, said country is only contained in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, the latest game in the counterterrorism franchise from Ubisoft. The shooter was announced in early March, but gameplay details have just recently hit The Strip.

The game will be handled entirely by Ubisoft Montreal, the same studio that worked on previous Rainbow Six games, as well as Far Cry Instincts Predator and the Prince of Persia series.

A new Rainbow Six team will be introduced along with the squad's new leader. Each character will have their own specialty, and Ubisoft emphasizes that tactics will play a major role in the game. Missions will have multiple ways of being completed, and teammates will suggest alternative methods of reaching objectives, including busting through walls or hacking computers. Multiplayer has also been tweaked, with persistent characters and new weapons and achievements to unlock.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas has not yet been priced or rated. It is currently scheduled to be released on "next-generation consoles."

My Response: Wouldn't mind shooting an MP5 in a big city with flashy lights and gals...heck just to get some action in real time is good enough for me.

I can't wait, this will be awe-some, I love the setting in Vegas. The addition of brand new characters in the team, and their roles will be interesting and I think a great addition. Anyways the game will be awe-some on the PS3, the screens look really good.

I'm sure they will have something for PC users. Either this or something designed specifically for the PC. But the interface will probably still be geared to console users unlike the original.

I hope they make it like the first few games. Like the one for PC and N64 and Rouge Spear. Once Rainbow Six 3, it was a more arcadey type game than a tactical shooter. RS: Lockdown was just terrible and I hope they learn from their mistakes. I'm hope for the bet but plan for the worst. I'm not buying it until I see reviews. The game does look good from the few screen shots I've seen, though.

I read about this game and I found it odd that they didnt use the GRAW engine or anything, but designed it from scratch. Whatever, it still looks killer.

at the time, i'm skeptical, because i dont see how a whole load of quality missons can be in just one location, especially vegas.
