Xbox gamers can now plan to try on the boots, lift the guns, and take aim in Counter-Strike, as one of the most popular multiplayer titles from the PC camp is confirmed for a November 18 release date.

The Xbox Live-enabled title's release should please Xbox Live staffers as well. In related news, Microsoft reported high usage numbers for the online game service. In a short e-mail burst to the industry today, a Microsoft spokesperson said that on Sunday, November 2, the online gaming service set new usage records. "On that day, 83,652 unique users spent 262,268 hours on the service." GameSpot has additional coverage of Xbox Live usage numbers in a related news story.

The release of the Xbox Live-enabled Counter-Strike could add to those numbers.
