After all this talk about next-gen graphics and gameplay, I was pleasantly suprised to test out Xbox Live Arcade on the 360. This platform will be a lasting thing, mark my words. As a great outlet for indie game developers, or big name developers with quirky side-project type games, this is like a video game version of Sundance Film Festival and other such displays. Great, great feature, and one that will take off huge, and most likely be emulated by the likes of Sony. Xbox Live will push the 360, and if it makes strides against Sony and their monster the PS3, it will be due to live. Try and play Wik: Fable of Souls, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, or Smash TV and not have fun. For $3-$8 dollars a game (for the most part, except a pool game thats $12), these games are a value, and a blast.

  Full Ms. Pac-Man, plus 12 playable demos including billiards, solitaire, and Bejeweled. Good way to kill a couple hours.
