I'd also cast my vote towards Kameo. It was a fantastic game, and not too violent. As an added bonus, when you get live again you would be able to download the Kameo Power Pack for 80Msp, which adds a versus mode, co-op time trial, and a costume pack. A good deal, and a way to include yourself with it.

cutelilmurderer posted...Thanks very much. Rayman Origins looks pretty cool. We have the Raving Rabids which is classic. Also, thanks for the information on Banjo Kazooie, they look good too, maybe perfect!
If you've got a local K-Mart, Rayman Origins is only $10 new.

TC, I like the fact that you come in here looking for a non-violent game, and yet you have "murderer" in your username. Is that irony intentional or accidental? Either way, it's pretty funny, so well done.
On topic, I'll echo the recommendation for Rayman Origins. Great game.

Is Alice: Madness Returns on 360? If it is, get it.

Bbaah ahahaha no the irony wasn't intended, I've just had the nickname for a really long time. Thanks everyone for all your help. I will explore these all a bit and see what happens. Going to check out Enslaved also, folks here seem to be fond of it. Rayman is a must!
Also, violent games are always going to be around and there'll be plenty of time for me to play them but seeing the kid and the lady getting into portal was really awesome and I'm just trying to follow up. I'd just get all the cutesy PS2 games that are out but our tv is old and makes that high-pitched ring so we all prefer the Xbox on a VGA cable. Plus Xbox 360 is just plain wonderful for gaming.

I've been playing The Cave - and that's good. Not been around here much lately so I dunno the general consensus, but I'd highly recommend.
I also just downloaded Banjo Kazooie today oddly enough. I owned an N64, but oddly never owned this.
Originally only downloaded the demo but I was impressed enough to buy there and then. Aside from the N64-esque camera issues i've had fun.

I got 3 bad touches before I got my first good touch. I haven't gotten a single bad touch since and I spent 2 hours trying for one tonight.

Get a copy of Psychonauts for the original Xbox. It works on 360 and it is a fantastic developer's (Tim Schafer) finest work, imo.
Tim Schafer is a more modern, Western Miyamoto. He just has a gift and a touch that very few other developers have.

^Will do. The entirety of my Xbox life (I don't know if this is a flattering way to describe it...) I always heard rants and raves about Psychonauts. Also, we got Rayman Origins and me and the kid love it but the lady seems really agitated by it when she plays. Maybe too difficult for her, though she'll not admit it. We happened to see Earth Defense Force Insect Armageddon and got that too and it's been a wonderful success. While it is a bit violent it's also really goofy and ridiculously easy, if not easier than the first one (which is one of my coveted games of all time) so we're hooked! We didn't get Enslaved only because our local shop didn't have it but hopefully someone on Craigslist will have it really cheap locally.
Again, thank you everyone for being so wonderfully supportive through this endeavor.
