Could have been good, but for the oh so frustrating Capture a L mission

Ok I'm a very big X3 fan, Lost my social life each time a new one came out and expected to again with Albion Prelude. But...
If you have palyed X3 TC then this very similar but set earlier in time with a race war.
There are some additional sectors to explore but it's pretty much the X3 TC universe. The odd revamped ship and the best bit depending on your view of how you want to make money. The Stock Exchange.
The Stock Exchange is a great Idea and can be a very easy way to make loads of money without resorting to cheating/creative ways to get the dosh you will need to get the good ships and kit to outfit them with. In the previous X3 games you would have to get very good at capturing enimy ships and/or build a manufacturing empire and/or trading empire to get the big bucks, all of which take lots of gametime. Taking Bouny missions was/is another way but as your fighting rank progresses it gets harder and harder to take on the bounty missions without a very good ship.
Now the Stock Exchange provides anouther route. Each race has a number of exchanges in different sectors and to get access to them you need do something for the race, be it pay a joining fee, achieve a perticular standing or have a factory/station in thier space. I found "day trading" commodities the best way and getting access to every exchange means that you can have lots of stocks running at once, Buy high/sell low and before you know it loads of dosh.
All sounds good so far but here comes the bad bit. Terrible, frustrating mission development.
I'm about to give up on this game and that says it all. The mission in question where I'm so frustrated that I cannot go on is the fastly becoming notorious deliver a Xenon L fighter to a station. Won't tell you much more so as not to spoil things but unless you are very lucky and find an abandoned one floating about you have to get one to bail out on you during combat and with Xenon ships this is a very very rere occurance. So far I must have shot up hundreds and only get one, a M fighter, to bail. Now some players are resorting to cheat scripts (check the web) to get around this but what's the point of designing missions where skill count for nothing and luck/cheating is the way forward. perhaps someone at Egosoft has a nasty mean streak and is still chuckling about adding this silly mission but missions that turn player off is not the way to progress.
If you want a real X3 TC+ expreience take my advice get the old X3TC and download the Mod XTC, now that is a real experience. Loads of fun. The New XTC 2.0 Mod is due for release anytime now. Look out for it. Mods written by players, for palyers.
I just hope X3 Rebirth can learn from this mistake of Albion Prelude and be all It's prommised to be. I will be there in the que but AP well it's for the Bin.
