If you enjoy playing games like Tekken, Street Fighter. Then you shall check out X-men Mutant Academy II

User Rating: 8 | X-Men: Mutant Academy 2 PS
Graphics: 8/10
Nothing to gawk at. They're slightly better than the last game. The character models are pretty good, aside from Wolverine's. He just looks a little too chubby. Also, the extra costumes are pretty neat as well, some of them straight from the movie.

Controls: 9/10
The controls are easy to pick up and learn in an instant. Anyone who has played past Capcom games and played as the X-Men in one of their fighters will definately understand the layout. Also, aerial combat is a LOT easier than in other games. Sometimes moves are hard to pull off, but oh well.

Sound: 5/10
The sound isn't any bit great. It's VERY mediocre. The voice bits are crunchy and sound like they've been through a blender. The music is hard to hear, letting the feel of the fighting kind of... Well... Go. However, the voice acting is good if you manage to hear it, and the sound effects are quite nice and clear.

Gameplay: 10/10
My favorite thing about this game. You can unlock a whole lot of things, just like in the last game. 4 other characters join in the game, being Rogue [with Ms. Marvel's powers!], Forge, Havoc [Cyclop's brother], and Nightcrawler [Who hasn't been seen in an X-game since Children of the Atom]. There are also 4 other secret characters, one of them being Spiderman [!]. With the addition of aerial combat, more moves, and an extra mode [Pool Party], the game is just wonderful.

Overall: 8/10
Good graphics, crappy sound, but amazing gameplay makes this game great on the PS1.

Buy or not?:
I say buy, it very rare to find this game nowadays. If you get the chance to see it, pick it up.
