Get your X-Men: Destiny demo on from Comic-Con 2011.
I'll probably pass, this isn't exactly what I was expecting. Thought that we could create our characters and pick our own powers in an open world environment.
The game look good but it is one of thos hit or miss. If it is a hit it will have a sequel witch will have more funding, witch means better graphics and more story. Think of it as dragon age origins it has very bad graphics and it looks rough but it one of the best games of 2009. Witch had a even better sequel so don't shut it out.
Game would look alot better if they spend more time with the graphics and make the game for PC as well than PS3, XBox 360 and so on. Stop leaving the PC version out, make it for the PC so everyone can enjoy the game/s. There are too many games made for the PS3, XBox 360 and leaving the PC version out. They would make more money for all platforms [PC, PS3, XBox 360, Wii, DS].
Camera guy. Turn your mic gain down. The entire video has digital audio distortion throughout when someone talks loud.
As much as I REALLY like the concept of a deep RPG experience within the X-Men universe, that's not just a dungeon crawler (e.g. X-Men Legends II), with actual conversation, skill trees and a deep and impactful combat system, this looks extremely rough for a game that's supposed to come out sometime near the end of this year. If I were developing this game I'd let it cook for at least 6 to 12 months more... At least they've got the art style right, down to the last pixel I might add...!
The enemy AI seems stupid, enemies looked totally weak. Even the companion AI (Emma Frost in this case) looked totally stupid, she was of no use at all.
Urgh... very bland enemy design, copy and paste enemies... really? Or are all of them part of multiple man? The big blocks of text that appear will definitely get annoying in the long run and the gameplay as a whole seems... lacking. You would think that they'd make use of hit detection but no, you character just seems to be hitting air and still hitting enemies. :\ Also, I thought he could teleport? Why did he need to climb with Toad instead of just teleporting? That is really 'smart'. Well, looks like this isn't the X-men game that will be good.
