X-men 2 is an absolute classic it might seem a bit dated but it is still a blast to play.

User Rating: 7.5 | X-Men 2: Clone Wars GEN
So this is a sequal to the original x-men game for the sega genesis. It has made many improvements. First off you can use your heroes powers at will rather than having to collect orbs to access them. Now the strength of your special attack will depend on your health or if you have a ranged attack it will be judged on how long you hold down the button.

The Graphics do look a bit muddy but it does run really well in single player. When in multiplayer the frame rate drops a lot and many objects bosses and enemies will blink a lot. But still the colors do look nice.

Now this is a semi beat em up and a semi platformer. some levels will have you fighting enemies a lot and others will have you platforming certain elements. The game controls kind of like a stripped down version of a fighting game. One flaw the game has is that nearly all of the grunt enemies die in one hit so your melee combos don't seem to be that useful execpt in boss battles.

Now the Boss Battles start out a bit easy but they do get a bit harder as you pregress. But when you fight the last couple bosses it is a blast to fight them. Lets just say you should pay attention to the title of the game.

The sound in the game is quite non existant. you will here sound effects but when the x-men get hit they just make a generic sound they don't do their voices. The sound effects are average and the music is pretty good.

The game is quite long because the later levels are very difficult and there is a good number of levels. The game has many cheats so you van skip levels or have as many lives as you wish.

So in conclusion x-men to clone wars is a fun game to play but it doesn't do anything special with the series.
