Havent bought a game since i stopped watching wwe in 2006 which probably the best wwe game ever.... i might buy this one when its used after 2011 comes out and see how it goes
this game doesnt deserve a single penny...i mean cmon its totally a copy paste of the ps2 version and with alot of online annoying lag.
looks brill if always liked wresling games since i can remember and this one looks the best so far.... AWESOME
they need to work on the commentary on these games it's horrible, otherwise the game looks good
I've been behind in the times for video games for years, especially wrestling games. I think the last one I played was on the PS2 years ago. My favourite one has always been No Mercy for the 64. That said, I've been playing this a lot lately and while it certainly has its issues, I'm REALLY enjoying it. The Royal Rumble, especially, is a lot of fun now, with different ways to eliminate someone.
They'll again have to improve many rhings for next year.Bigger storylines,better graphics,online play.Put good things that they got out from previous svr and sd games.More realistic gameplay.CPU must wrestle more realistic and be actually a challenge.They actualy could make it much better but don't give much effort to it.If they work hard on it i think that then it will become a game that every wrestling fan will want to have.
This game is the biggest **** EVER!!! I am done with this series until they decide to finally do something with the franchise because I ain't seen it yet.
The online lags. They failed to make it better and that suck. I hope they improve it in SVR 2011. And they should change the name.
Smackdown vs. Raw isn't even about SmackDown versing Raw anymore! Change the name! (Don't you guys & gals think so?):|
I have a long list of problems with this game. When are they going to form some sort of co-operative scouting arrangement with the wwe to where they can get updated rosters? I mean come on. No Zach Ryder, Drew Mycentyre, or Hart Foundation? And Ezekial Jackson is an unlockable? He isn't a special character, so he should already come Standard! I also don't like how the story line thing is so limited, and doesn't even have a function to where the people would actually speak. How fun is that? Thq sucks horribly.
I believe the animations are just not good enough to deserve an 8. Have them fix that and then put this game up against others. Right now because of the bad animations this game does not hold up against the rest.

Gamespot must just hate wwe cause this game deserves at least and 8.5 and I think that most people who reviewed this game agree with me. Although it seems like the ring feels small, and I would like to see a damage meter for limbs chest and head. Also career mode should have storylines too. I feel that way mainly because that is how you level your created characters stats, but all in all its a great wrestling game.
@Belyea - From experience, it is really easy to get to 100 - you can level your character up just playing through exhibition matches, and just by completing their (rather engaging) road to wrestlemania - you're pretty much already in the high 70s... you get (correct me if i'm wrong) 6 ability-slots I think, with around 12 abilities to choose from, which you unlock along the way (i.e possum pin, object grapple, kid up etc...). My favourite is one where you get three finishers to use in a row... Deadly! :P It is really alot better in that respect. Hope that helped you.
No matter how much improvement the games need, fans of the franchise will still buy them regardless.
The game needs a major over haul. They are still using the same gameplay engine from Smackdown Here Comes The Pain. That game came out on the PS2 in 2003!!
did they fix the point system for developing your attributes on created character? 2009 was frustrating in that sense because it took FOREVER to get them to 99 or 100. not to mention if you wanted to make more than 1 character, youd have to go through that entire painful process again. or if you didnt like one of the abilities you got say, by accident, youd have to restart. not to mention you couldnt simply pick and choose those abilities. anyone thats played this game already looking forward to hearing from you regarding these questions.
Galiian is not going to the ring master for Raw. I hope wwe find a good ring master. Not the one in ECW we cannot see who she is plus Gallain is still is the best
Hah, I just fired up my Day of Reckoning 2 this past Thursday. I'm still longing for another 1 to come out. This game doesn't have me overly excited except 4 the storyline stuff. I'll get it when it goes on sale..I guess..I mean there is nothing else out there to play until AAA comes out and when/if TNA gets a new license soon, which should be soon now that they got Hulk freaking Hogan!!
