I honestly think this version of WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 was better than the PS2 version, but it has some flaws.
This game lets you take control of any current or legendary superstar. It has a wide variety such as John Cena, Triple H, Undertaker, Matt Hardy, Umaga, Kane and so on. When you are playing season mode, you will choose a character and follow his or her storyline. You will compete against multiple superstars, get into relationships, and win championships. The stories change on what superstar in a certain brand. Also, some of the superstars in the same brand will have different stories. It is different for some characters, but not all.
The graphics in this game aren't as good as the 360 and PS2 version games. They are buggy, but they aren't terrible. In fact, they are pretty impresive for a portable game. The characters are the buggiest by far. Carlito's hair can be see through at times. The audience surrounding you isn't large at all and they are 2-D and that is pet peeve of mine. So, the graphics aren't amazing, but they are okay.
The sound in this game is great. It comes out clear to me. The voice acting is amazing, but it looks like the characters are lip synching. The songs in the game are great and they comes out very clear. The list of moves is great as well. There will be simple moves like the suplex and arm bar. When you are running, it has a few different hitting moves, but it doesn't have running grapple moves which really disappoints me. Some of the moves that are involving the enviornment are pretty sweet. When the victim leans against the ropes,you can do grapple moves to him and they are pretty sweet. As for the punch and kicking moves, they are pretty cool. Almost everyone has their own punching and kicking moves and they fit the character perfectly. The moves that the characters use in real life, will most definitely be in this game. I think the "arsenal" of moves in this game is great.
THE ONE THING THAT I TOTALLY HATED ABOUT THIS GAME AND THAT MOST EVERYONE HATED IS THE LOADING TIMES!!!!!!!!!!! It literally takes like 3 minutes to start th match because they have to take so long to load each entrance. I hate it because I am a VERY impatient person when it comes to video games.
I think that if you have a PSP and loved the last WWE SvR game, then you will want to at least rent this game. It is the best wrestling game I have played for the PSP.
