Basically this game blows away any other wrestling game that has ever came before it. Lets get this straight, i believe that No Mercy for N64 was the greatest wrestling game of all time, but this game right here brings a lot of No Mercy into the Smackdown series. The new grapple system is excellent, the damage body part add-on is brilliant, they basically did everything they had to do to make this game great. They discontinued the commentary, all of it. Which has its strong points and weak points. The strong points are, that you dont have to hear JR and KING repeat word after word, after sentence after sentence, if you cant have play by play commentary, you shouldnt have any. But, i dont think they should've gotten rid of the ring announcers, now your wrestler comes down to the ring without any commentary at all. The only thing that really upsets me, is that you cannot edit the current appearances of the wrestlers. I believe THQ does this on purpose so we buy the next game over and over, but if they dont do it on purpose, WHY ARENT YOU ADDING THIS INTO THE GAME? What if Rey Meysterio takes his mask off next week, and starts wrestling in jeans? If we were able to edit appearances, we would be able to change that. Besides that problem, thats the only flaw this game has. The game is excellent in all aspects, a must buy. Blows all other smackdown titles off the map.
