Great graphics, great sound and great presentation.
40 wrestlers to choose and an insane create a-wrestler. But this is where I feel they strayed. They put so much emphasis into caw that they had to omit things, IMPORTANT THINGS!! like where is the voices,announcers and grunts and groans for pete sake!! This cuts out the immersive factory, a major ding in my opinion.
I have WWE Attitude for n64 and it has all this. Maybe I should have stuck with Acclaim, after all it has ever imaginable match there is. This game does not.
Aside from the major negative, The game has great fighting mechanics, fluid animations, reversals and no insane comebacks that plague earlier versions of wrestling games. If you beat the crap out of someone and pin him, he is going be down for the count.
The story mood is great fun and adds a nice change to the cut and dry match ups. To bad about the repetitive music that replaces what should be voices though!
This has TLC which the controls work out fine. Use the ladder as a weapon if you want, use the table as a weapon, set it up and break your opponent thru it.
I am not a huge wrestle fan so I can't go into to much detail like others but I enjoy playing wrestling games, its a great pick me up with friends. This is where the game shines, easy to pick up and enjoy. Even better when you learn the fine ins-&outs of reversals and throws.
All in all a good game that could have been great if it had more match options and sound\voice effects, MAN what where they thinking. I almost feel ripped. On plus, if you want the most indepth caw\intros, weapons, etc this is for you if you can get past the quiet matches that is.
*update feb2. I can't get past the missing sounds. It makes the game not immersive enough and overall makes the game very weak. I am selling it.
