Like WWE Day of Reckoning, this game has momentum shift, which can be used one time per match, and it has also implemented submission system which are great addition to the game play. The submission system give the gamer four choices where they put thier opponent in a submission hold which are submit, rest, drain, and taunt. It also as a stamina meter which means that a gamer cannot dominate the match but they have to watch their stamina meter to make sure it don't go too low, this is where the submission system come in handy. The create-a-wrestler mode in WWE Day of Reckoning 2 is the detailed mode when compared to the previous WWE games released on the Nintendo GameCube, which include outfits, wrestling holds, and entrances. It also has the best graphics when compared to any other wrestling games on GameCube. The WWE arena and the superstars on the roster look realistic.
